that awkward moment..
I see a lot of people saying that you should always talk with everyone, even your enemies. My question is what exactly should you be talking to them about? IE: Rite off the bat you (Germany) ally with England against France. there is plenty to talk about with England and the rest of the world, but what about France?
(note: this scenario[While happening in many games all the time] is not currently occurring involving myself or anyone that i know])

The unit in North Africa at the time successfuly moved to Tunis, and neither fleet was disloged. continued on post...

Log into Game Help
I am at a business conference and have told everyone about on-line diplomacy, and have gotten 7 players. I set up an anonymous private game, but three players got stuck in a meeting and could not log-in in time and can not join. The game is still in the first spring move. Since I created it, is there any way or anything I can do to allow these players to join the game?
Thanks in advance

Medical Marijuana
Yes cannabis is a tired subject and for some the medical aspect may be. If not, come be bored with me and state an idea supported by facts. Opinions are not welcome here. Non-credible sources are not welcome here.

Pro or against I don't care. Please just support any claims.

Putin, I'm sure you've also heard of the "conspiracy" to keep marijuana illegal to save DuPont and Hearst?

William Randolph Hearst (Citizen Kane) and the Hearst Paper Manufacturing Division of Kimberly Clark owned vast acreage of timberlands. The Hearst Company supplied most paper products. Patty Hearst's grandfather, a destroyer of nature for his own personal profit, stood to lose billions because of hemp.

In 1937, Dupont patented the processes to make plastics from oil and coal. Dupont's Annual Report urged stockholders to invest in its new petrochemical division. Synthetics such as plastics, cellophane, celluloid, methanol, nylon, rayon, Dacron, etc., could now be made from oil. Natural hemp industrialization would have ruined over 80% of Dupont's business.

@Sayjo: Go to hell. If you want a real source fine:
http://www.emcdda.europa.eu/stats10/gpstab9c
Key data:
Netherlands 5.3% in 2005 study
Belgium 6.7% in 2004
Germany 7.6% in 2006

I just did the dutch and its two neighbours cause I am to lazy to state anyone else, but the fact is the dutch have fewer people (as a % of population) who use Marijuana more then once a month then Germany or Belgium, which both have Marijuana illegal.
Put - you are the one who started by resorting to personal attacks. So I make no apology for mine.
In reality, pot usage is a pretty steady thing. Medicinal marijuana didn't change that, it only made it easier for the people who actually NEED it to get it.

Canada is a country where 90% of people have claimed to have tried weed. I don't know what percent use it regularly but I would bet it is somewhere around 40.

Our crime is low and productivity is high. These are facts you can't really argue with.

America has much higher crime and much tighter restrictions on bud.

Your points are all invalid and overly self-serving.

I really think you need to spend some tiem away from the internet. It clearly is not educating you properly. Try empirical studies or something. Or hang out with real people.

really the numbers are that high for Canada?
I have been high twice. got peer pressured into it once, and celebrated the Harper Majority (anyone remember the two Harper Majority threads I created?) However I'm probably not going to do it again.
40 might be high... the 90 isn't.

Why would you celebrate the Harper majority by taking part in an act he is so much against? I mean, if Layton one bunning a splee would make sense. But with Harper, you might as well burn down some living plants...

Your conspiracy theory is silly. States were restricting and/or banning marijuana long before 1937. http://www.canorml.org/background/ca1913.html

"Why would you celebrate the Harper majority by taking part in an act he is so much against?"
There was no alcohol in the house and being minors we couldn't get some on such short notice. As a result weed was the only option. I can certainly say that if there was alcohol I would not have gotten high...
That is fair.

People often perceive alcool and marijuana as substitute goods, but I think they are very different things. Other than being drunk makes you want to get high...

"Medicinal marijuana didn't change that, it only made it easier for the people who actually NEED it to get it."

From what I understand, medicinal strains have higher amount of CBD in them, which means no good chance of getting high. So it's quite clear that medicinal marijuana won't lead to a spike in long-term users of pot - it doesn't bring them the enjoyment.

I also happen to believe that majority of pot users who campaign for medicinal marijuana take it as a first step to legalization/decriminalization. Because, well, those who use it solely for medicinal purposes are in a minority. It might actually be a clever tactic to appease those who are against criminalization: "Look, we legalized medicinal marijuana and nothing serious happened! Medicinal marijuana is like normal marijuana, right? Legalization!" ;)

Connecticut just decriminalised the possession of less than 1/2 ounce to a fine of $150.
@ Putin -

"Really funny. Sayjo claims I don't read his sources, and he yet he ignores mine.

"Where are these "longitudinal medical studies"? "I provided crime statistics" - source please " You just ignore whatever evidence doesn't legitimize your habit" --Opinion that applies to you. You ignored anything I stated that had legitimate sources contrary to your beliefs. I am not interested in beliefs I want you to prove me wrong."

Crime stats in the Netherlands.

These are from earlier in this very thread. You even posted them in your summary. You're a sad little man.

Medical marijuana is decriminalization. Decriminalization increased crime in the Netherlands. Medical marijuana also increased crime in California.

http://articles.latimes.com/2010/sep/02/local/la-me-0902-baca-pot-20100902
http://articles.latimes.com/2010/nov/23/local/la-me-medical-marijuana-20101123

They've become such targets of crime, that more and more municipalities and counties are passing ordinances banning medical marijuana.

So you can kindly go to hell."

-- I also commented on the 2 sources you had and made a comment refering to what was in the source so where are you getting that I didn't read yours? You post sources which is all I was asking for and wouldn't comment on your information until I got statistics then tell me to go to hell? haha

"But you'll find some excuse to ignore this, while claiming I'm ignoring you."

-- I already said I wasn't going to respond to anything you say without a source. You put sources, I shall respond you decrepit twat. I love you how act pretentious in regards to my petulant insults yet you do the same. Makes me feel all warm on the inside.

"This is how nasty you potheads get if anyone dares disagree with your self-proclaimed right to smoke pot. "

--Just love to group people together don't you? I don't do drugs and your view of people who use cannabis is much more nasty than someone telling you to go jerk to a shit-hole movie.

"Right, we know you don't care about data and multiple medical studies over long periods of time, no amount of evidence will convince you. Real scientific there, Cheech."

--What about the sampling of studies I presented?

@Fasces "@Sayjo: Go to hell. If you want a real source fine:" Um okay? I compliment your information but you getting defensive regarding the source is a bit odd to me. Thank you for the other source though.

@Lando

"Canada is a country where 90% of people have claimed to have tried weed. I don't know what percent use it regularly but I would bet it is somewhere around 40.

Our crime is low and productivity is high. These are facts you can't really argue with. "

If you want them to be viewed as fact, offering sources for the information would help.

@putin

"Your conspiracy theory is silly. States were restricting and/or banning marijuana long before 1937. http://www.canorml.org/background/ca1913.html"

--Great source! Hm, I gotta read this more. First state I knew of to ban cannabis was Utah.

@ulytau

"From what I understand, medicinal strains have higher amount of CBD in them, which means no good chance of getting high. So it's quite clear that medicinal marijuana won't lead to a spike in long-term users of pot - it doesn't bring them the enjoyment."

--It is true that there are strains being bred to have higher CBD/CBN percentages but like the misnomer that THC% have been increasing since the 60's (A view that shows ignorance regarding basic genetics) the THC isn't being bred down. A lot of strains that happen to produce more CBD/CBN happen to produce high amounts of THC. However, there are methods for extracting the CBD/CBN for edibles while removing as much THC as possible.

"I also happen to believe that majority of pot users who campaign for medicinal marijuana take it as a first step to legalization/decriminalization. Because, well, those who use it solely for medicinal purposes are in a minority. It might actually be a clever tactic to appease those who are against criminalization: "Look, we legalized medicinal marijuana and nothing serious happened! Medicinal marijuana is like normal marijuana, right? Legalization!" ;)"

--Opinion but one that I agree with.

I will post reactions to Putin's sources later but I currently don't have time to and didn't want too much time to go by with Putin thinking his few sources to back up what he said awhile ago prove his case haha
