Great game. I think I threw away a solo playing idiotically against Turkey.

Ugh, what an ugly game. I can't complain about NMRs, I guess, since I benefited royally from them. And when my pal Turkey CDed, I took all of his SCs. Still, Germany (BreathOfVega) played well.

He first used the support of England (nietzscheispietzsche) and then abused his NMRs (me too). I still had 9 SCs when I realized it was hopeless and put up the draw vote, the last one missing. For some strange reason, Austria withdrew his draw vote at the very same moment.

When he put it back again, it was too late - Germany had realized that he had the victory in hand. Austria (Lando) and I, who had been fighting each other the entire game, started to organize some resistance. But Italy (SplitDiplomat) took two extra turns to realize we weren't his enemies any more.

From 1911 till 1913, four unlikely allies put up a heroic resistance, with a lot of blunders, of course. Still, I was proud of how selfless we all were. We deserved nothing less than a five-way draw.

Wah... Here is 4 am, and I suppose this explains why I did so poor 3 turns one after another. Sorry for the poor playing, I'll get better... -_- (I threw away my chances of winning in those 3 turns)

In this game, basically, nobody wanted to attack me (leaving aside the only one I would have never expected, england...)

@Zmaj, I Didn't really understand why you decided to retreat from north to south, just to finish a CDed Turkey. Fear that Austria could take advantage of it? (it's the explanation I gave myself).

@Czech: unlucky. Always at least two power against you, and (in the Italian case in particular) sometimes with a funny timing (wrong in my opinion, a better player than me would have take advantage ending without losing Seb and Rum (or Bud for Rum).

And Split: did you foresee I wasn't that good of a player? Playing against France in that time (when I decided to go for a solo)... I didn't really understand why, you risked a lot depending on French reaction.

Well, good game anyway (horribile by my part, but I had fun). Thanks guys!

You're right, I was afraid of Austria. I suppose your second comment was directed to Lando (Austria), not Czech (who sucked again, lol). And SplitDiplomat is going senile, it's obvious.

Zmaj, it wasn't me who attacked England, but the contrary (NtS - Hol, Eng - Bel, while attacking you in the north and France in the south). And with Italy constanlty harassing France, with the chance for you to take all of English SCs, attacking england wasn't really a choice.

...and I don't feel like I attacked England this much, I almost always took English SCs after you had taken them! :D

Lol, you're right. And your decision to move everything against me - the strongest player at the time - while counting on a peaceful France, was a stroke of genius, I must say.

Zmaj, I was speaking about The Czech, really! He played an unlucky game, always attacked where he didn't expect from - just when he was about to fix his boundaries. England did mess up a bit, Italy attacked him even when Turkey put two fleets in Med and it was clear that I had to be stopped (I expected him to leave France free to contain me). and my turn to attack France had to be expected, Split basically kept my invasion ready by calling 3 french armies in the south - I thought of ending the game with Par and Bre, before losing to you in Seb/Rum (damn you!).

Well, I'm actually happy with my play until 1909 (probably you underestimated me), I can say I crashed better players for a bit. With more concentration and A LOT more patience, I would have won... maybe too many SCs taken in one turn - from 10 to 16 - but I felt that you all were coming to me since I unvoted the draw, so I decided to hit hard. I still think it was the right option, I just messed up against you and did some little mistake like not going to Tyrolia before.

Well, anyway, I'm happy for what I did well, the rest will improve in time. Good game guys and good night.

How many times do people have to see this scenario happen damn near every time in order to recognize it as a bad idea?

Particular mid-game situation: input needed.
I'd say that I am doing quite well in both early- and late-game situations, but my mid-game is severely lacking. In the last game I played (gameID=92638), a difficult situation arrived at the end of 1906. I obviously didn't play it all too well, but as I am completely unsure what I should have done, I would appreciate some input.
