As usual, I built too many fleets as England. Then I couldn't do anything except support hold.

I was so glad when Austria finally stabbed Italy. If he'd waited a turn or two I suspect I'd be dead.

i thought i could win once italy left behind turkey. before then, i never felt i could stab. i got through the big line for a bit, but england closed that down nicely, left me all tangled. italy's defense turned to offense at the end and i needed to draw, despite getting the fleet build i wanted (with a self-supported bounce nonetheless)

YHN, I thought it was 50/50 as to whether Austria was holding out for the 3 way draw or setting me up for the stab to go for the win. If England hadn't had the north on lockdown, I wouldn't have committed so heavily to taking you out.

my bad on missing the first two turns and i was never able to recover, i was trying to through the game to england for forever but he was never able to capitalize, because he had no armies and the defense by france was good

I can't understand why Lando didn't use those two fleets in Trieste and Albania. He could have dislodged Bob from the Adriatic easily, and that was probably all he needed for a win. That convoy to Turkey was a stroke of genius, but it wasn't really a threat. Or was it?

I suspect you could've sliced and diced me without too much trouble, while still leaving a few guys behind to cover your ass in the event that Austria stabbed. At any rate, I'm grateful to have survived.

Well, if he dislodges me from Adriatic, I fall back to Apulia. Not a huge deal. Meanwhile, Austria would have lost the Aegean Sea, and at that point, between my army in Turkey and fleets in the Aegean and Ionian, Austria's got to commit something like 5 units down there to bottle me up. AAnd, if I lose anything, I open myself up to England, not Austria.

Yeah, I thought Bob's stalemate position even before he convoyed to Turkey was pretty solid.

sorry lol i joined the game then got caught up texting and completely forgot i refreshed the page and there were only 7 seconds untill the second phase. and england had draw up for like one phase so i just tried to make him a solo threat.

Anyway, thoughts on all the players:

Austria: Really well played game. It was a pleasure working with you for the majority of the time, and fun working against you as well.

England: Nice game. I thought you were getting overreliant on fleets, but you did a good job of taking advantage of the opportunities you had.

France: Excellent defense. I am amazed you survived the period when Germany was fucking with you and England and I were overpowering you.

Germany: Grade incomplete.

Russia: I didn't really get much of a sense of you, except that you were outguessed by austria at pretty much every turn.

Turkey: stubborn defense, but if Austria and italy really want to press the lepanto, it's going to be hard on you unless Russia starts doing really well in Scandinavia.
