I see a ton of gunboat advice on the forums that are unfortunately buried in religious threads, random spam, EOGs or what have you. With no archiving functions or stickying, I want to gather tips somewhere where it won't be lost. There are plenty of resources online for press games, but not much for gunboats. I thought I'd collect some wisdom from the community and compose a page under my stats.

First of all, I'd like to ask the pros. For now, as a way to identify what a "pro" is, I have just set an arbitrary number of ten won gunboats. I'd say that if you've won ten of them, you have enough experience to contribute something. I'm still using the same database from early April, so people who've recently entered this list may be left out. If you have any other arguments why you should be consulted, please tell me. The reason I want to ask only a few people is that I see a lot of crappy advice. If you're on the list below, please send me a paragraph or so of your number one tip. What should people relly aim to do? I'll compile the tips into a list of advice for new gunboat players. If you want to write something longer, I can help get that published as well.
