Believe me, as a Blackhawks fan since I was about 6 years old, I completely empathize with the sinking feeling that your team's management is a confederacy of dunces. Fortunately, they will die at some point.

I am a big fan of hockey teams in non-traditional markets. Mainly because everyone gets so unreasonably upset about it up here. And because I guess its good to see the game spread. People used to think hockey wouldn't work in Nashville but now they have one of the best crowds in the league. So I am happy that Phoenix, Florida and Nashville are doing well. Hurrah for the Sunbelt!

Best crowds? Being 20th in a league of 30 teams in attendance despite routinely fielding a playoff contender is one of the best crowds?

Phoenix has the league's worst attendance despite now being a western conference semi-finalist. They have a worse attendance record than CBJ, who has only ever been to the playoffs once (and promptly swept) in the 12 years of their miserable existence.

Nashville still averages 95% of capacity according to ESPN. And the atmosphere is crazy during the playoffs. I'd rather go to a game there than in Toronto, where they have priced all the real fans out of the arena and its just full of corporate suits.

Phoenix obviously has been through some tough times, which is part of why its nice to see them finally get to the second round.

Phoenix has routinely finished last in attendance. Just a couple of years ago Nashville was not far behind. Ditto Florida. Being good only bumped them up a few places. It isn't a shocker that they routinely talk about relocating the Panthers and Coyotes, to places that actually deserve a team.

I remember when the Hurricanes won the Cup, and a hometown hero was on the team so they were followed avidly where I'm from, and my brother lived in Raleigh at the time and was shocked that they held the goddam cup parade in a parking lot.

You know what's most annoying about the Yotes, they're full of ex-Blue Jackets who decided they wanted to actually play hockey now that they left CBJ.
