I hope so. I hope the President makes a pubic comment about it, since that is the precedent now, and it is my sincere hope that he is the President of American-Muslims as well as African Americans...and Latinos...and Asians...etc, etc, etc. If he is consistent in his concern, he will become a busy, busy man and have to leave the campaign/fundraising trail...But I sadly suspect specific racial politics will prevail and this is the last we've sen of Obama's concern over racially-motivated murders...

How about you put your anger toward the people that commit these crimes rather than the president who tries to assuage the anger and grief of a victims family and millions of others who feel profoundly affected by this.

Maybe if you would actually read something that I hae written on this matter -- about my outrage at the lack of attention to the (on target for 500 this year) murders in Detroit. I posted THIS link to demonstrate that even the Black community is outraged at the biased coverage of this one murder, versus the on-going slaughter of African Americans in Detroit, and all over this country.

But part of that anger is *rightfully* directed at a President that chooses a SINGLE murder to make a political point...when in reality he should be focused on ALL the murders. Because of HIS singular focus, the Sheople, the collective morons of this country, think this is the ONLY important murder to the neglect of all the others. What is so hard to understand about that. What he did was a pure political stunt...but his words have an impact on this nation - don't you get that?

Obama COULD have used this is a stage to address ALL the violence in the country. Instead he said "If I had a son, it woudl have looked like Trayvon..." and left it at that.

@krellin - Santa's first post had no hate. It was a suggestion to redirect your ire where it could do more good. Obama did what he did to defuse the situation. He also did it to get some politcal points with the black community as we move into election season. But every politician on both sides chimed in the same way. Everyone wants to be viewed as "black friendly" this election. nothing is going to change that. It's just this particular incident drew more national attention because the family and friends of Trayvon (sp?) started making a ruckus when the man wasn't arrested immediately and started screaming "racism" isntgead of giving the police the chance to fully investigate everything. So in comes *all* the politicians inserting their noses where they don't belong, taking in a big whiff as they kiss the black community's collective ass because they want the vote.

But yes, the real anger of the country, the politicians, and of *you* should be on the level of violence and murder rates that are growing, in no small part, due to the poverty class increasing and the divide between rich and poor increasing.

So Sanata was just, in a way, agreeing with you. The nation (and *you*) shoud focus your anger not on one incident, but on the increase in violence that our economy downturn has produced and the lack of action by our governing representatives at address the problem at large.

Recall the "beer summit" at the White House...which he had to do after he came out and commented on a racially-tinged police event in which he *immediately* jumped to the defense of the black man (and AGAINST the cops) without knowing anything about the case.

Yeah...and his Attorney General has been directed to NOT prosecute Black-on-White crimes or cases of Voter Intimidation by the Black Panthers in the same way he is to go after white criminals.
