Any one else tired of the God-Hating socialist lefties that troll this site.

Any time someone starts a forum to state an arguement it is filled with trolls mocking other peoples opinions because they are not their own. I know as soon as I post this trolls will flood it, but I want to know if I am not the only sensible person who wants to see other opinions and ideas and think about them.

PORK RINDS -- Is it JUST ME???

Question: Has anyone else notice that pork rinds seem to be completely devoid of nutrition or tastiness? That their outlandish texture often completely conficts with our delicate sensibilities, and often suggest that we should spit them up or cover them with hot sauce?

new stats in the works

I have a goal to finish stats that look at the following: a solo layout for each power that looks at the centers owned by each country and the frequency of control, i will also separate WA and PPSC win/draw stats, the number of centers a country needs to feel secure in the idea that it has likely minimized the likelihood it will be eliminated, and an update on my prior work. important about 40% done and hope to have it done by the end of the semester.

Chronicles of Thomas Covenant

Anyone read them? Thoughts on them as pieces of writing (I hesitate to use the term literature) or on the possible conclusion of the plot?

I've been reading them on and off for years. I've read the first trilogy and I've left it for a while now about half way through the second. They're very good, and I'll finish them someday, but they're definitely more difficult to slog through than your average fantasy novel. Also, I really like Hile Troy! And we never got to see him again except as a Forestal, or whatever (not really the same). Very upsetting. D:

@SynalonEtuul, I find them really fantastic, but as far as compared to other fantasy novels, I don't really know since I tend to avoid them. The tend to be poorly written, close copies of everything else, and lacking in value other than as entertainment. I only picked this up because my dad told me I couldn't borrow anymore of his old school scifi until I read the first trilogy. Related note, I find a lot of modern scifi tends to follow the same trend I said earlier regarding fantasy.

@Krellin, I totally consider them literature, I just don't want to start an off topic flame war with the use of that word. I also want to point out that Linden is a great example of a female protagonist who is a fully developed character, and not the typical weak female character found in most books and movies.

@Puddle - Your dad seems weird... :-) I would think he would encourage you to read the classics like Bradbury's Martian Chronicles or Asimov's I, Robot or Heinlein's Moon Is a Harsh Mistress.

@ Draug, I don't always return the books, and a lot of them are so old that they kind of just fall apart by the time I finish reading them (Paperbacks). And it turned out totally fine as the books he made me read are now some of my favourites. I just wished his library wasn't 450 miles away :(

You want to read about some characters that make you feel a little repulsed and wanna throw up? Read Donaldson's "GAP" series...forget the titles, but it's something liek "Gap into Madness" "Gap into ..." You'll find it. Read the series...just felt horrible the entire time I read them...Like double worse than how you feel about the unsavory character of Covenant.

Live Gunboat Group

I have been sorely disappointed in the quality of live gunboats. There is constant NMR, CD, and lack of etiquette. I would like to compile a list of users who would enjoy playing gunboats live and would agree to certain rules (to be determined by the players who are initially interested).
