Webdiplomacy Tournaments?
I am interested in doing some kind of diplomacy tournament but I do not know how to get started. Also, I saw a thread about GR ratings, and I was curious how you get involved to have a GR rating. Any help would be appreciated :]

Barça just lost to Getafe, their first Liga defeat since last April. The refs were just awful though Getafe put on a really solid def.

Ghost rating
Tried to look through the forum but unearthing old posts is so cumbersome. What's the status on the current Ghost rating. I know the Ghostmaker (was that his name?) is on hiatus, but IIRC he said he would continue posting the ratings, no?

For a world game; what is the right stake if it is points per SC?

Classic?
I have a new game open; Funny Story-2, it is a world game and was wondering whether it is the general opinion that the Classic Map is just that, Classic?

World Game starting soon.
There is a world game, Funny Story-2. Since I don't know how to delay a start, will begin in 5 mins. Can you tell me either how to delay it, or feel free to join the game.

Game Starts
Is it possible to delay the start of a game? Because recently I have been forced to remake a game due to a lack of players. The game is Funny Story-2. Also is it possible for a game to start with less than max. players like in the board game.

My thoughts:
My early crusade against France was...not as successful as I had hoped, and before long I was on the wrong end of a G-R alliance. Basically the whole game I sat around with my three fleets, manuevering around the coastal seas...
Best move: Germany's NMR just when Russia tried to stab. To think that his ingenious plans were foiled not by smart play, but missing a move...
short EOG:

I'm France. Oh look at me, England decided to throw the kitchen sink at me from the outset! Yay, Germany-Russia alliance! England's backing off! Oh no, now Italy's decided to throw the kitchen sink at me too! Time to go beat him down... oh look, now Germany's decided to attack me. End results: England ends with the same centers with which he starts, Italy ends as Turkey's slave, Germany ends up with my home centers but seemed, I could have sworn, on the verge of getting crushed by all of his neighbors before someone somewhere changed his mind.

Seriously, screw y'all -____- Never before have I been so thoroughly screwed over for any reason of my own origin.

Short: Russia couldn't find a sitter so I voted draw. I feel very bad regarding this game, especially because I was a year before the final stab at both Italy and Russia ;)

I was sitting Thucky as Italy, inherited a crap position, and since the first move I had involved Germany taking a center from me, chose to work with Turkey. I knew the stab was coming from him when the game ended, unfortunately, it was either play along or die immediately. I veered back and forth between doing Germany's bidding and Turkey's, but pretty much did whatever I could to survive.

When I started Russia had voted draw and was part of the anti-Turkey alliance, but then he changed sides - until, a few weeks later, he flipped back. I assume that he was hoping I would slow down Turkey instead of working with him and could solo himself, and when that didn't work out, he decided to go with the same draw we could have had in October. Bah.

Bask, you could have stabbed and slaughtered me, but I wasn't about to go further than MAO. Your stated goal was the elimination of England; Russia could just as easily have picked up those centers. The only reason you wouldn't go for that was if you were hoping I would get even further out of position. Had I been a little stronger, I would have told you to go pound sand earlier.

Pre-Game joining period
Is this period set in stone, or does it get truncated if everyone joins the match right away? Are the first orders always due (2 * phase length) from game creation, or could it be sooner?

The Aftermath: Stabbing
Once again, I define a stab as any broken agreement or deception which leads to a change in ownership of one or more centers. In this thread I'd like to hear how you proceed immediately after you successfully stab someone. I'll chime in later in the thread.

a noob question
ok as a noob to this great game I have a question, when I move into a new country with a supply center, on the next turn it shows my unit there with a little square that is my colour and the country is still the same colour as the "enemy". why is this? do I need to leave my army to "hold" the country for a turn? or am I miss understanding the rules?
