ok, at first: the question of century IS how to pause or sit, and i know everything i need to know about this site and i'm good in the game in real and on this site so i think i don't need to get more acquainted with the site, and at least i know you call it a gunboat, not a boatgun :)
the only things i don't know is how to sit or leave a game...
i could find out both by seeking much but i don't need them now...
and if i can sit your game you'll tell me how to sit i guess...

You sit for a game when you log in to someone's account - they give you the password, you enter moves, they change the PW when they get back. It's that simple

To pause a game, all players in the game must vote for a pause. The same rules apply for pausing as cancelling or drawing.

I have found someone irl to sit for me. I will remove my pause vote since it no longer necessary. Thanks to all who offered their help.

When having someone sit your account, if you want to keep your original password, change it to a new value that you'll share with the sitter, and then change it back when you get back. Since you are giving full access to your account to this other person, make sure it is someone you trust.
