@yebellz, I'm a java developer that runs ubuntu and actually provides consulting services that focus on using (with a preference to writing) open source. So preaching to the choir. I just didn't read the full argument, just the ending, hence the poor analogy.

What makes it final, is that fact that the 3 mobile apps use 3 different environments and languages. I'm not learning cocoa to write an iphone app, for example, but I use java daily, so an android app wouldn't be difficult to write.

What on earth are you jibber-jabbering about Orathaic?! What an unbelievably absurd statement. No one is personally asking anyone to code anything. It was idle speculation on the part of the OP. Perfectly harmless. Who knows, maybe someone was coding an android app? Or maybe someone was thinking about it, Threads like this help gauge the support for an idea. There is no point coding anything if there is no support for the idea.

The notion that if you have time to post to the forum that you therefore have time and *should* have the inclination to become a programmer does not follow! What a load of self-righteous crap. And how unrealistic. It's just not easy to be come a programmer good enough to write a worthwhile app. But there are thousands of people on this website and who knows what other people are up to. That is why we talk to each of the in forum.

@Fort - Well if you're genuinely interested shouldn't be too much to do. There is already JSON data for orders, but you'd presumably need another feed for conversations etc.
