Every player finishes the game with x/34 SCs.
The pot is divided up evenly by SC, so each SC is worth 1/34 of the pot. (i.e. 9 SCs would be worth 9/34 of the pot).

However, SCs controlled by countries in Civil Disorder do not contribute to the total 34.. So as far as I understand it, it's actually
x/(34-the sum of all SCs controlled by countries in CD)

i.e. If Turkey goes into CD with 10SCs, and no one takes any of them before France wins wih 18 SCs.. then France will be awarded points for 18/(34-10)=18/24 of the pot.

Combine these two answers, and you have the correct (for now) formula.

(Round( Pot/(34-SCs in CD))SCs owned. And yes, that means that DipPoints are sometimes created or destroyed in games where someone wins. There is no Low of Conservation of Dip Points.

This will change in the next version - the rounding will be done AFTER the multiplication * SCs. This will greatly reduce the created and destroyed DipPoints.

Pinguin, it is the total owned and not in CD SCs. If the game ends with a player in CD, their SCs don't get counted. If the gameends with some still neutral they don't get counted either.

JBAlcron, it also removes neutral SCs from the count as well.

Just to clarify where the rounding happens:

SCs owned by player x Round(Pot/34-unoccupied or CD owned SCs)

ie, the value of an SC is found as an integer, and then rounded up.

Actually, it is rounded purely. .5 and above goes up. .49_ and below goes down.

What he means is the rounding is calculated before it is multiplied.

Yeah, When I said rounded up, I really just meant rounded.
