This game has been paused for two days straight now due to Blackheath Wanderer's banning, and he has no supply centres left. Not to mention everyone has finalized their orders, and the only person left to vote to unpause has not logged on since Tuesday morning. Please help us!

Actually, I'm not posting evidence just yet (there's a LOT), as I don't want to improve the skills of the Multi's, but Mod's will you please look into this and confirm/deny ?

It really helps if you give some userIDs or a game link or something. We don't have a way to look up users by name.

I am in a game with them right now. Other players and I have suspected them from the beginning but didn't want to jump to conclusions before any moves were made. The evidence definitely points to a multi.

Gecko the Gicko, Zeek the Geek, and Zed 1wizard have been banned.

KIBbY`the`GNoMe, BaNaNaSiNaCaN and Cooky Pooky may also be involved however it is not 100% clear yet so I will hold off on banning them. Even if they are different people they most certainly know eachother and Gecko/Zed/Zeek outside of phpDip.

is it not allowed to know people outside of diplomacy? I think that honestly is the best idea ever so your friend feels comfortable then you stab them in the back.

a way to look up users by name, why don't we have it? wouldn't it involve only a simple database query?

It is completely ok for you to play with friends/relatives/coworkers. What's not ok is when that outside relationship leads to unbreakable and pre-meditated alliances in the game. Many of us, myself included, have played with people we know. The vast majority of our users seem to be able to treat everyone equally or in some cases say they like backstabbing friends even more than strangers.

And yes, I definitely agree that we need a lookup by name and that it would be quite easy in the grand scheme of things.

Hmmm, Zed 1 Wizard wasn't one I picked out. After nailing Canute, I must be getting Rusty. Only nailed 2/3 multis this time. Funny, because I wasn't even playing in any of those games with these guys.

Lol that just means he wants you out of the game before backstabbing. I'm like that in all my games. Kill off everyone before my allies then its a gloves off game.

The gameplay absolutely backs this up. he and his friend already admitted to being friends and not breaking their alliance. This was previously discussed but since there is NO way to have any diplomacy with them, I think something shoudl be done about it. Plus, they're both terribly verbally abusive with no diplomatic purpose. They just like to get their lol's and cheap insults.

So, they claim to be two different people but it also seems clear that they will never break their allaince with each other. Should I supply a game name and their names in a new thread to get this dealt with? Or is it considered ok (if just barely)?

Epic Threads Question

Is there an easy way to jump to the bottom of epic threads ? For example, 'Dow jones fell 500' now has 194 replies, and it's a pain to always scroll down to the last reply!

I'm a bit new at the rule functions on here. How does the convoy work? Do I need to use a fleet and an army? Does it count as one or two units when attacking? How far can it go?

Another technical question

Can one order a unit to support hold a unit which is ordered to move but is expected to stand off and remain in the province?

a possible error?

In my orders I supported a german army from warsaw - moscow.
The support was cut (this was no problem here) however the map didn't represent the fact that the order was actually ordered!

Ghost Fleet - Disbanded fleet bug?

I disbanded a Fleet in Spain, yet in Spring 1905 the map still displays the fleet as being there. While I appreciate the cleverness of my forces in building mock units to discourage my enemies attacks, surely this is some sort of program bug? I've noticed this in some other games I've played, too.

Opening Moves

Countries often have the choice of opening aggressively against their neighbour or playing it more neutral with more options but less early expansion opportunity. What is the better strategy?

Ex. Turkey opening to Armenia or not.

ESCALATION /When you don't have 7 players and a learning method.

I invented this in January 1966 after I could not get 7 players together to play my Christmas Present. Throughout January my best friend and I played it just about every day. It was the best tactical learning tool as well as a solution to the problem of 7.
