But it seems like everyone I talk to are such brick walls. I'm in a game (http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?
gameID=163772) where I am Germany and I told England that I want to help him into Belgium and take on France. He says "I'd rather have a triple alliance where France gets belgium". Like what the fuck? You make France stronger and hope he gives you any crumbs after he defeats me? Why do you NOT want Belgium? So everything France and England are saying is super fishy and I think I'm the odd man out, so I go on the offensive. I've been keeping good relations with Russia the whole game, except threatening to bounce him in Sweden if he goes into Galicia. He doesn't go into Gal so I don't bounce him. He builds an Army in St. Peters and I offer to hit North Sea so he can get Norway. He says Ok. NEXT turn, fucking English Norway goes into Skagg, Norway COMPLETELY EMPTY and now St. Peter goes to Livonia. How the FUCK does England convince Russia to leave Norway empty for him and turn against me? He has nothing to offer and I offered him fucking Norway on a silver platter.
It's obvious that not everyone plays pragmatically, which makes sense. But how do these people form these emotional connections? How can they just leave flanks exposed because they did some sort of hypnosis that doesn't let them consider bad deals? I don't know anymore, I feel like everything I do is met with them half-ass talking to me or sketchy one liners. Do I have to offer to suck them off for them to love me?
