The winner is totally going to be John Carpenter's The Thing. It's the perfect movie

Get real - The Lord of the Rings (all three as one movie) is the greatest story ever told (despite what the promoters of The Bible would have us believe).

But if Carpenter were going to have a top film, it would be Big Trouble in Little China.

Well, they're both good, as is most of John Carpenter's portfolio, but The Thing is my favorite movie, and would be the one I push for hard.

Realistically, Die Hard *has* to be high on the list.

Death Race 2000 was pretty awesome

John Carpenters best movie was Dark Star. :)

Yeah, O'Bannon and Carpenter truly made a great team in Dark Star.
