Mods are Dirty So-N-So's
That's right folks, it's another "Dirty So-n-So" game...step right this way. This time we make war in honor of, and in light of, the Mod Team.

Step up if you're man enough...and we need at least two Mods two (in order to mock them). Modern Dip II, WTA, NON-Anon, no-holds-barred negotiations, 36 Hr, blah blah blah.

As some of you may know, I'm currently very busy, working 2 jobs and moving apartments. This makes it hard for me to watch over every thread on the Forum. The natural solution to this would be to hire more Forum mods, but we have tried this in the past and it didn't work out so well.

We would like to keep this a free and open Forum and one of the things we preach most often is "self moderation". These are not just empty words, but policy we actually believe in. In fact, this self moderation was the main driving force behind this new policy change.

Instead of having one or two mods doing all the Forum moderation, I would like to crowd source it to the whole community. How? If you see a post that you don't think is representative of the community, post it here along with the user who originally posted it. If others agree that post is unsavory, they should +1 it (finally giving an official use to those +1's kestas implemented).

Every day, I will read over this one thread and if I see a post that has significant +1's, I'll know the community demands justice. Because the search feature on this site is broken, it's important people don't make up quotes from other people, as that would just give me more work to do.

The following are rough milestones that I'll use:

10 +1's: Warning
25 +1's: 24 hour Silence
50 +1's: 1 week Silence

It is my sincere hope that we can put the policy of self-moderation into practical use through this new method.

Thanks for your help!

I believe the following post deserves a community enforced silence for impersonating a supermod.

You want to allow this community to self police itself, haha... You're just setting someone up to be gang silenced....you need to reserve a trump card and not adhere to the policy on a strict level
Now we just need 43 people to like JMO's post.
I'll just use this thread for the next announcement:

I've got a GREAT idea for Forum policy. One forum hall monitor only please. At present, we've got FIVE threads originated by mods/admins on the front page. I didn't bother opening them all to see how many all of the ATTENTION WHORES (a.k.a. mods/admins) posted in, but why do I get the feeling that it's most of them?

I've got some shocking news for you all. Hall monitors, traffic cops, and by-law enforcement officers actually aren't cool. Nobody wants to hear from you.

I'm not making this up.

So everybody except for abgie go fuck yourselves. BAM! Better Forum.

That's my idea. Thank you.

I'd like to propose that the following post be considered by the community for punishment due to the fact that it's not really all that funny and that the mods are obnoxious tools:

Is there a feature for the use and creation of games for a classroom?
I am a teacher that wants to use this web game for a simulation for my different classes. Is there a method to create a game for my different classes, or would I have to have several users to join and create different games. Let me know so that I can plan ahead to implement this in my classroom. Thank you.

With the season (mostly) starting tomorrow and Opening Day taking off in proper on Monday (Cesar Chavez Day, so hooray for having that day off, ah the perks of living in awesomely-Latino LA County!) it's time for that 162 game marathon once again! Will the Dodgers and their big budget win it all? Will the Red Sox repeat?
