Yeah. It doesn't say "Chat Window" or "Public Rmablings Window". It's a notebook for the player to scribble their thoughts and things they either want to share later or just to help them in game.

I think France is going to stab me and he won't agree to a DMZ so I'm working with England against him.

Took Switzerland with a fleet, pretty sure I just won the site. Time to copy and paste my wonderful eog into the global tab.

If used correctly, it will be a great learning tool. Keep track why you do certain things and what you thought your opponents will do. Then, when the turn is over, you can reflect on all of those actions. With your games kept forever, you will have a great storehouse of knowledge at your fingertips.

Question: Will you be able to post in this note section AFTER the game ends? I could definitely see some great uses for post game notes.

Also note that the Notes tab can be useful when having someone sit your games. For example...

Okay sitter, if you look at the chat with Russia, you'll see it all looks very friendly and think we must be great allies. If he moves to Galacia in the Spring, stab that bitch for all it is worth!

Also for useful reminders in public press when an agreement is reached but so much more has happened (chat during a build or retreat while waiting for the next move). You can put the planned moves there and always have them at hand while you wait for that retreat and build to go by.

Also could be handy when the game is paused for awhile and you have thoughts about what you might do once it gets going again but want to wait until everyone is back before acting upon them.

I'm just waiting for players to accidentally type their notes into Global Press. ;)

Come on, Nigee. There are a lot more important problems than Syria to worry about. We have to end commercial slavery for one. And slow down the nuclear arms race, stop terrorism and world hunger. We have to provide food and shelter for the homeless, and oppose racial discrimination and promote civil rights, while also promoting equal rights for women. We have to encourage a return to traditional moral values. Most importantly, we have to promote general social concern, and less materialism in young people.

It's very important to worry about things. 100 years ago Wodehouse wrote about people worrying about 'strikes, wars, suffragettes, the diminishing birth rate, the growing materialism of the age, a score of similar subjects'. If it wasn't for people worrying we would have never solved them and created the paradise we live in today.

Guys - would it be possible to have game messages show up in the Notices section next time around? At least after a game has ended, now that the global section is opened, as Alderian pointed out you have to go in to see if something was posted. I would not mind if all messages posted there from all games, but at least the post mordem ones...

Some sort of indicator that there is a new message in a finished game would be nice, I agree.

I wish we had VDip's "developer/donator" icon so we could give it to Alde. He has definitely earned it of late.
