Sublime Diplomacy Commentaries

How Can You Get To 270 Without "The 47%," Mr. Romney?
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/18/mitt-romney-47-percent-full-video-_n_1893615.html
1. Reactions, at all, to that 47% comment?
2. There is some truth to the comment, but was it politically-wise to make?
3. Saying that they're not the one's he'd worry about...how do you DEFEND a statement telling half of America you're an irrelevant leech to Mighty Mitt?

Encourage Smoking - Save Money
Sure, smoking causes disease and statistically speaking kills you at an early age, possibly after radical cancer or breathing Treatments…but “healthy” people linger on, end up having multiple surgeries before they die, etc. In reality, smoking saves health care costs and should be encouraged. Plus, YJ likes it and should indulge…die happy!

So I got a question, but I'm afraid it will turn into a debate.
So before anyone takes part, know that this is not intended to be a debate, so please refrain from arguing your political opinions on the matter in the thread. You can state your opinion if you like, but my opinion is set and nobody is going to change that, so it is not worth arguing.

Also, I've said it before but I feel I need to repeat: DO NOT HAVE SEX WITH GIRLS WHO ARE OPENLY PRO-LIFE OR SUPER RELIGIOUS. They are sooooooo fucking crazy, you don't even know bro. Bat. Shit. Crazy.
Yellowjacket (835 D(B))

I disagree with diploraptor. Super religious women want to stay "intact" and we all know what that leads to...
diplomacyraptor6 (0 DX)

Also, since your not getting proper sex-ed in school, we should probably clear up as much sex myths for you as possible. Everyone else feel free to contribute anything they can think of.
-It's possible to get pregnant on your first time.
-Birth Control is mostly perfect for women, unless they fuck it up. Condoms break every once in a blue moon though, so doubling up on protection helps. Use real condoms, use ones that fit your size, and don't reuse them.
-While extremely, extremely rare, it is possible to impregnant a girl by cumming on her inner thigh if your swimmers are strong and he uterus is weak on the defenses. So be careful with your shots with all those handjobs/dry humping stuff that I know younger kids do that our ancestors used to call 'second base'
-Don't trust any ancient myths like girls can't get preggo during a specific time period like their period, or right before or after their period, or when there's a blue moon and the Redskins win the Super Bowl or something. Most of these are 100% false, and even the ones with some truth in them are DEFINITELY not solid. And I don't even mean there's still a .001% chance of getting pregnant during, say, her period, more like 30-50% chance. Never ever risk it.
-Special positions or diets or something doesn't help prevent pregnancy. This is so fucking stupid why do people even believe this....
-Also something insanely obvious: you can get pregnant on your wedding night. I know someone from college who was super religious, and responded to "deviancy" (aka not good christian behavior) by ignoring it or running away. He created his own bubble of ignorance. He just got married less then a year ago and recently had his first child. According to a mutual friend who just visited me, he and his wife are apparently really upset because THEY DIDN'T KNOW YOU COULD GET PREGNANT ON YOUR WEDDING NIGHT. Like, some sort of God-force-field prevented conception. Jesus titty-fucking christ I don't know how he even enter college, let alone graduated.

I'm not going to bother with myths about the act of sex itself like "everyone is doing it!" or advice for finding someone like be a confident person with a touch of asshole, because I'm sure you've heard the former plenty in your abstinence only education, and the latter is life experience that comes with time. If anyone else has something I missed or personal horror stories feel free to share.

Good advice above.

Re. Condoms all tie them up when used and dispose of yourself. Some women can be devious - Nuff said.

My only other bit of advice is to talk about the abortion issue beforehand. It could be a passion killer if you bring it up during the throws of passion. I can imagine it now 'oh conservative man you're such a fucking stud, fuck me like the bitch I am' CM - 'OK but if my condom splits and you've cocked-up the pill were keeping the baby.' Stopping to get them to sign and date a document to that effect is also considered bad sexual etiquette.

cspieker (18223 D)

Lot's of great advice. Here's my bit.

Why are you against abortion? Because you don't want to kill an innocent child, right?

Remember that putting the child up for adoption or raising it yourself (likely by young unmarried people without jobs) puts the odds of that kid having a wonderful life rather on the low side.

So logic tells you that you do NOT want to be a father at this point of your life. Your original post definitely spoke to that point and you were basically asking about the probabilities of pregnancy so you could do some sort of heavy decision theory shit. Homer Simpson quote, "I like those odds".

You want to have no gamble, then do what your religion says and wait until you are united with someone that you are willing to raise a family with.

And if you ARE going to gamble, then you want to have a plan B. If you have no plan B, then you shouldn't gamble.

But you know, this is all logic, and putting yourself at risk for being a father is not always the product of logic...if you know what I mean.

Good luck. I hope you don't have to compromise your values.

Then again...they don't' go blowin' shit up because of cartoons like to crazy loser radical Islamicists...Christian strictly keep their bombing to abortion clinics. You know...blow people up because killing babies is bad...

diplomacyraptor mentions an important point that a lot of young men, in my experience, don't initially realise. It's a sufficiently important piece of advise I'm going to repeat it just to underline it:

Condoms come in different sizes. Make sure you're using ones that fit you. Buy some packs in different sizes, get yourself hard (I would do this by looking at porn, presumably you can do this by listening to Glenn Beck's radio show or something) and try the different sizes on. Make sure that when you do actually have sex, you're wearing a condom that fits you well - this seriously reduces the risk of the condom breaking. It's a fairly low risk in the first place, but since you can take a simple action to reduce it, it's sensible to do so.
"get yourself hard (I would do this by looking at porn, presumably you can do this by listening to Glenn Beck's radio show or something)"

oh my god I laughed so hard

Yellowjacket (835 D(B))
19 Sep 12 UTC
Whenever I go to the gas station to buy rubbers, I notice the "magnums" are always sold out. I'm not claiming *I* need them, I just think it's funny that the vast majority of guys apparently think they do.

And when you understand THAT, Celticfox, you'll understand 80% of the male psyche.
Celticfox (100 D(B))

Oh that I already got. It's the other 20% that I sometimes don't understand.

Since we are answering that kind of questions anyway... what dont you understand?
Celticfox (100 D(B))
19 Sep 12 UTC
Well I would say this particular thread didn't have to do with that. It was more like giving life advice. I wouldn't of told him to expect a girl not to tell him if she was pregnant. I don't know any girl who would do that. So the way the advice has been given and over which part people choose to comment on is the more enlightening part.

"Condoms break every once in a blue moon though, so doubling up on protection helps. Use real condoms, use ones that fit your size, and don't reuse them."

...DON'T REUSE THEM?!? Are you saying that someone could really do it?
"Birth Control is mostly perfect for women, unless they fuck it up. Condoms break every once in a blue moon though, so doubling up on protection helps. Use real condoms, use ones that fit your size, and don't reuse them."

To be clear, "doubling up on protection" does NOT mean wearing two condoms. Wearing two condoms REDUCES the effectiveness. No double-bagging. Doubling up on protection = condom + pill.

LOL @ Glenn Beck.
Yellowjacket (835 D(B))
19 Sep 12 UTC
@BreathOfVega It's OK to reuse them if you turn 'em inside out first.

Here's a true story about condoms:

One time I was hangin out with my buddy and he wanted to get something to eat. He said he wanted this stuff called "boil-in-a-bag rice" (never heard of it myself but he swore it was awesome rice--in the way awesome rice goes for bachelors. We went to this gas station looking for it cuz he said they might have it and we asked the attendant if they had the rice. She pointed over to a nearby wall so we went to look. We spent 5 mins looking for rice and there werent even food items on the display. The attendant must have overheard us talking about not seeing it so she comes over and is clearly irritated and says "theyre right THERE!" and points to a box of condoms.

Needless to say I have never asked for rice in a gas station since. Especially long grain.

Considering you're only 15/16, do you even really have your own opinions yet? Or is this just what your parents told you to think.

Thats not an insult, but people change in 2 years, you might not think this way once you get out into the real world.
BreathOfVega (597 D)
19 Sep 12 UTC
Yes, I am aware of that. That's what's moving me, we're giving him hints, considering that he has to form his own understanding... and yet our hints are all about girls who get pregnants without telling him, and how to use (and reuse...) a condom. Funny, don't you agree?
BreathOfVega (597 D)
