This is the argument that many use, and I never think it's valid. Any CD, anywhere on the map -- especially in 1903 -- unless the power is already dead, effects the balance of the game. You're offering up Italy's opening anti-France strategy as proof, but that is irrelevant. Italy's presence, even if in the west fighting France, plays a part in the balance of the game. From Spring 1903 onward, you had nothing to worry about on your western flank. That lack of any worry, changes the way you play, and deploy your builds. As such, it gives you an advantage that others who don't border Italy, don't have.

I am not "red in the face." I am just shocked that Achillies is the culprit here and wouldn't ever just admit that he was being selfish. So be it.

But, as I said before. I am done with drawing from CD's -- that will alleviate all this frustration. I tried to do the right thing, to play in an honorable manner when there are CD's. But, nobody else (or very few) want to do the same. So, I am done. I am going to play the game out no matter the circumstance. If people want to bitch, they have themselves to blame.

See, you just proved my point. You normally do draw, but since you were "doing good" you thought you'd forget the etiquette of the site, and go for the solo. But hey, we're on the same page now. Thanks for giving me lots of arguments to present to those that get ticked at me when I play it out despite CD's.

unfortunately i may begin to take somewhat of the same stance many other players are taking, before now i have always draw when there was a major cd and have given up at least 7-8 soloes in live games by doing so. but with so many people playing through cds i think it is pointless to try to swim against the tide and frustrate myself when other people don't draw. so i will consider a cd a part of the game from now on. unless there are special circumstances anyways.

NO, i dont think thats why. i have drawn MANY GAMES that i had a clear CD advantage. ive drawn many gamne that i almost for sure would have won, even without the CD, this time i truly believe that the CD didnt change anyting for me.

If you cannot see that a Spring 1903 Italian CD aided a Turkish solo, well...I have nothing so say to that except...ok, if you say so. I think you're contention is patently false, but I now am siding with what Seth said. If others aren't going to play in an honorable fashion, and think that they can just say, "it didn't benefit me..." and keep playing, I'll do the same. Just as Seth said, I've lost so many times to CD-aided solos I can't even count. Time to get a little pay back.

I hate that you never mention Thr it was an Italian hell-bent on killing France, not me. I still draw if there are like 8 sc CDs and other CDs during the game if I think they unbalanced the game.
