Snug Earbud-style headphones terrible for running!

How does the mute option work in this scenario:

If I mute a player, will it in turn mute any threads he/she may create in the future?

I mute everything in the forum except for game-related or threads (I'm here for the game, not for...that). It takes a chunk of time each day to do that. If I were to mute users rather than threads, would it save me from having to mute any threads they may create in the future?

OK ... I may have misrepresented myself. I see Speaker claiming "last" and I am WAY better than "almost last" ... my 594 place is on the comprehensive GR list, since it has been a while since I finished a classic, full press, WTA game. My ~133 GR would put me at about 95 on the classic GR list. Using the same logic, Bob-G-KH's ~153 would put him at about 45 on the classic list. But then I notice that adriens is 114 on the classic list, but 117 with ~240 on the combined list. I don't know if all this matters, but I am hoping for above average competition even in the third tier. Someone with a GR of 42 is not likely to provide that.

Virtual Bob, I'm not particularly familiar with the GR system, so bear with me, but I'm not sure I follow what you're saying. Did I use the wrong number? I would hate to misrepresent myself. Please enlighten me, because these stats are very interesting, and I would love to understand them better.

I don't understand most of what VB said, but part of it is that adriens' WTA GR is 117, not 114. Honest mistake. You can find your WTA GR under the "categories" tab.

@adriens -- late response to your question, but no ... you had it exactly right. I was just noting that your rank was very similar in the two lists even though the rating itself was quite different. Since I do not have a current "classic full press WTA' *rating*, I was following @abge's suggestion to use the consolidated *ranking*. But since there are so many more people on the consolidated list, my respectable-but-not-great 133 rating yields a 594 ranking, while a 594 ranking on the classic list is almost at the bottom.

I am hoping we can fill out the last 3 slots with GR > 100 players.

I looked up my "all time" classic GR and that value places me between place 233 & 234 on the current list ... maybe I should update my ranking to "233.5"? I tried the same for Bob Genghiskhan, but he apparently does not have an "all time" rating either. Still tier 3, so I do not htink it matters much.

Game question

Let's say you have a fleet in Tunis and west med, an army in North Africa. You want the army in NA flipped with the fleet Tunis.
What would happen if I ordered Tunis to North Africa; North Africa to Tunis, the army being convoyed there by west med. shouldn't it go through, causing the army to go to Tunis and the fleet going to North Africa?

NFL Pick 'em: Week 12: The Home Stretch Begins

6 weeks left, and they all matter. The 2nd AFC Wild Card team changes by the week, the Chiefs and Broncos look like they'll go down to the wire on the division lead, and 11/16 teams are still within a game or two of the playoffs. In the NFC, the Lions try to hold off the Bears, the Giants suddenly look like they might make it back in a weak NFC East against the Eagles and Cowboys, and my Niners...better right the ship this Monday Night...so pick 'em...

Can Someone Explain Filibustering?

I get the basic premise: if you're in the minority and you feel strongly about something, you can talk for a long time and hopefully bore everyone to death. What I don't understand is why *threatening* to filibuster has the same effect.
