@Thucy - my son 14 left a note on his bed. The bed had been made and his room was spotless, it read "Dear Maniac, we haven't been close for a while, you always seem to be playing some dumb internet game, so you probably didn't even realise I've been seeing Mandy <made up name to protect the innocent> from down the road. [I should explain 'Mandy' is late 30s, two kids]. I know you wouldn't approve so we have taken the kids and left - don't try to find us, cus even if you do I'll never come back. His note continued "Obviously, none of this is true - my school report is under my pillow, I'm at Dan's. Will be back when things calm down"

I suggest you do something similar with your parents. Tell them you want to sail around the world single handed via somalia and they'll be happy to compromise and let you go to senegal.
