hellalt, try hacking the page when the mods (who are authroized by the site owner to do so) ban someone. Hacking is a crime in the US and this is a US based server. You will be hunted down and prosecuted. I guarantee it.

on a side note, the site-owners have no obligation to sick to their own rules. It's their server, their money that is used to run this site, and since this website doesn't have any advertisements, they wouldn't even lose money from banning people.

This is not a country, a republic or a diplomacy. There is not legislation to cover all posibilities.

Therefore, when a new, previously unexpected bad behaviour is found, the moderators warn the guy who did it.

They are saying "we have the right to ban you, and this behaviour is not acceptable, so we'll ban you if you do it again.". This is akin to writing a law.

After this warning is issued, if the infraction is repeated, the 'law' is executed.

with the difference that your home doesn't need strangers on the backyard to fulfill it's destination as "home", while a site, especially one that is formed as a community forum, has to pay respect to the site members.This site has the advantage and privilege to have become a virtual community. If admins start to override their own rules and kick people, it will become just another simple crappy site like most of the rest...

hellalt: We welcome attempts to find security holes in our software, the link to the code is in the Help section. We would prefer for people to report security any found without abusing them, but even having someone exploit a security hole is constructive if the hole is found and removed
e.g. as silly as this forum spam episode was at least now we have SQL that we can reapply if it happens in the future

(Not that I think you'll find any holes, or that there are any to be found, but a free audit is a free audit)
