I do see the difference, and that's my very point. But I do think it is evidence that hard-and-fast rules don't always cover the situation, and if the mods find something offensive that doesn't fall into narrowly-defined categories or rules, the mods should be given more freedom of discretion to silence or lock that content.

I try moving on. I hashed out everything with a mod quasi love last night. I woke this morning to another threatening mod email. Tell the to shut the fuck up and leave me alone and I'll move on. FWIW, since I'm presumably in this list, I didn't do anything to "test" the rules. I regularly screw with the bible thread. I had been previously asked not to post lewd stories, and being aware that direct links to porn were out of the question, I instead made a few fake links that look bad but aren't.

I wasn't doing it to test any moderator's patience or whatever it is you're thinking. I enjoy provoking people, but fucking with the mods isn't going to help anything. This didn't become a moderator issue as far as I was concerned until I got a public wrist slapping, at which point I felt compelled to call bullshit.

You think you're being honorable? The choice isn't theirs/ours - this isn't a one sided affair. If you choose to push boundaries, you'll inevitably encounter a point at which you'll find the edge. YOU have the choice here - either continue to anger yourself and the mods by forcing the issue, or acknowledge that you reached a limit, for all intents and purposes, and move on so that this forum can return to normal, whatever the hell that is.

This is me speaking for myself, not for the mods or kestas.

It just looked funny, anyway, because you both kept telling eachother the same thing for a while there. You two indeed want to understand each other's perspectives, but you both have the same perspective. No need to imply I'm no grown-up because of a language-thing. I never get mad over an argument but I don't see how that doesn't make it an argument.

Arguing involves thinking the other person is wrong in some way and trying to get them to see your reasoning.

Discussing is not knowing enough about the other persons views to judge if you agree with them so you talk about what you think and see if your views match theirs.

I'm sick of answering emails from the mods. So ti is up to them. No offense, but how does your banning "damage" the site? I mean, I like you around here and all that - adds to the amusement, but fact is people do come and go, and while you presence (or lack thereof) would change things, I don't think "damage" is the correct term.

@abge - Please show me where I said I would DDOS the site anytime in the last month or two or six. I'm talking about damaging it by posting shit Kestas and the mods don't like. I'm talking about damaging it through the normal means that gets one banned (posting shit loads of porn links and spam and just generally being so bad they have no choice). There was no threat stated or implied in that statement.

To be clear, the damage would be temporary, but could cause a mod or two to uit and would drive off potential future members. And I would not be doing it with the intent of damaging the site, but solely with the intent of getting banned so that I could legitimately block their emails and they could say nothing about it. I'm tired of them spamming my phone with demands I respond while saying I am a valued member and begging me not to go.
