well, I never liked pacts that lasts from spring 1901 to the end. as someone outside the pact it i very frustrating. especially if it is plain for everyone to see how much one part can gain (winning the game quicker) from stabbing the other part.

well ... france and england? even if it seems to be more of a non-aggression pact. if i played italy, i would find that very irritating. but maybe that is just me.

Mine's incredibly hostile, reflecting the mood this game leaves me in. I'd really rather not be the first one to post, because if the tones of others are hostile then fine, but I don't want to start us down that route.

In very brief summary, this game was incredibly frustrating. Italy and Austria allied from the very start and gave me pretenses I cannot possibly respect for their decision; I allied with Russia out of necessity even after he stabbed me for Ankara; France and England then decided I was allied with Russia permanently for reasons unknown to everyone, and instead of creating an environment which would foster the stab I wanted to do, kept me in my strategic corner until Russia stabbed me. Then France double-dealt, England gave up Scandinavia and Italy stabbed me while I was fighting the solo... myself going solo. And then they got mad at me for deciding to throw the game.

I have never been in a game where so many people just absolutely refused to give a fuck about what I wanted, feared, and could do and just expected me to bend over and do whatever they wanted at whatever price to me without any concern for how it might affect me. I'm glad Russia soloed, frankly. At least he cared.

Oh, and taking the screencapping issue to the forum the way redhouse did was incredibly distasteful and bordered on metagaming a couple of times. I definitely didn't appreciate that at all.

Having had a quick look at the messages board, the communication between players did seem to get incredibly petty in that game.

I also thought it was odd that the player/s complaining about meme links being pasted into the global chat were also pasting youtube links into the global chat themselves - that strikes me as a double standard.

I apologise now for accusing you of sending pictures, I can see from your report it obviously wasn't you and now I've looked up what you guys mean by 'trolling' I wasn't doing that either.
I expected this game to be full of students with SATs scores bigger than there age and IQs combined and was genuinely surprised when I saw the participants. who all seem to be experienced Diplomacy players.
Why are you upset about the 'screencapping issue' raised by redhouse, don't you want to see it stopped also?

I wasn't going to comment because my comments on EoGs are usually distasteful as I've been told because I don't shy away from questions or criticisms, but here goes:

This was an on-going full press anon game when the screen shot issue was created and discussed. That's just BS. That's not acceptable. Redhouse was metagaming there and frankly, PE, I am disappointed now too that you participated in that thread because it is against the spirit of the game and the rules. It was an on-going game, and nothing so blatantly related should have been posted.

Redhouse asked me to stop bothering him. I told him I would. Here is something else I am willing to do: never join a game with him.

@Sarg; technically you are right, although youtube videos to lighten the mood a bit are different than screenshots, the fact of the matter is that after I saw other players use imagery I used it myself. This is one of the reasons I am strongly hoping for a more precise explanation of Site rule 2 from the moderators. If URLs in general are banned, I'd be the first to respect that rule.

I'm actually confused now.

I thought the problem was just memes but I see that 'screenshots' literally does mean a player took screenshots and pasted it into the global chat.

However, the only player I can see to have done that is President Eden. But no one seems to be discussing that. Everyone is jumping on redhouse.

Can someone explain what I'm missing please?
