Obviously, five rules stand:
1) No NMRs
2) No CDs
3) Cancels occur for breech of the above (not a draw) if the power NMR/ CD is 3(?) SCs or larger
4) if you are found in violation of the rules of the live gunboaters twice without good explanation, you will be removed from the group
5) You agree to follow good gunboat practices, such as looking at orders that may not have shown on the mini map or using support orders to communicate intentions

Please comment with additional suggested rules and to express interest in having a regular group of live gunboaters. Also critique of rules I have state dare welcome.

Well, even if I can get ten players, that'll be enough. The only good gunboat players I have played love were Barn3tt and PE. I would like to see more

Good list of live gunboaters of the top of my head: Barn3tt, PE, Sargmacher, Lando, the Czech but he multis like nobody's business :)

Honestly, no. It is really hard for me to devote a solid 2-4 hours at this point in my life, and it turns out my press game is slightly better than my gb game.

Well, Yad, it would partly be for improvement of weaker players who are serious about improving. I grow weary of NMRs, CDs, and poor etiquette. I was in a live game tonight that should have cancelled after turn one, but it didn't. Fortunately, the turkey player was kind enough to grant a draw after a German CD.

I'd welcome you aboard if you were intent on getting better. I would want to see EOGs on a regular basis, as I think they are how we are introspective and improve on reading calls.

Agree to finalize even in defeat so the rest of us are not waiting all day. That's the sixth rule.

These groups don't work, its been tried at least twice before in my time here. Its hard enough to get seven, let alone seven from a group. I think a better way to increase the level of play is to encourage and remind inexperienced players good live gunboat etiquette. Or on weeknights, sometimes there are enough players around to do a highpot and/or passworded live gime.

I would also like to see points docked for CDing. Right now, there is no incentive for players to stick with games. It only harms their reputation, which is irrelevant for live anon games anyway.

If you don't mind newbies, I'll play.

I don't mind weak players as long as they seek to follow etiquette and improve their ability.

I took it upon myself to create a password protected gunboat to get some quality. It starts in one hour. Anonymous, WTA. gameID=83416 PM me for password!

I like live gunboats and I also have a pretty decent (read: 'average" :P) record in terms of success and a pretty much flawless reliability rating. I'd be interested.

I took it upon myself to cancel mine now. There are other games and too many people were busy!

I'd definitely be interested in playing games with that set of rules. I'm pretty new, but I never NMR, CD, or fail to finalize when I'm ready. I, too, am really tired of all the NMRs. I'd love to play in some high-quality games. I can only occasionally set aside the time necessary to play live games, but this week, starting Monday, will be one of those times, so feel free to include me if you decide to try this out this week.

I am definitely up for it. I have never CD'd, I missed a move only once when I was on 15 centers, and I always finalise quickly when I am going out. I still wonder how in practice it will work out.
