This is the second time that Submariner has done this - on both occasions, it has 'mysteriously' knocked off a thread that was criticising him in some form or other. How long, I wonder, before this thread magically disappears, too?

So it's a forum bomb and he was trying to hide the fact that he is a "whiny little bitch" as Sam Axe would say. We all know what he is now and we can just spread the word whenever we feel like it. He claims everyone is a multi or meta just because he sucks at the diplomatic side of diplomacy. Hey, I'm lowsy at reading people over the internet and get suckered in all the time, but I don't whine about it or accuse others of cheating, cause I know I got played and it's part of the game.

I think this was done with a clear disruptive intent, and should produce a warning against him.

All he did was dump a thread he didn't like about him off the bottom. Warn him? OK. But honestly, it wasn't like he caused other popular threads to fall off the bottom. If anything, we have a new type of forum bomb we can call the depth charge (in honor of it's creator, Submariner).

Well, the antidote to the Submariner bomb is creating a new thread like Mapleleaf did.

As I understand it, in the next release all the old threads will be accessible anyway. But if you look at his posts, they really are all just spam. Lots of "Me too" and other junk posts. It's pretty crappy. He didn't even make a half-hearted attempt to appear to be participating (like any good Diplomat would do, lol).

You are correct in guessing that I'm not going to do anything at the moment, but that includes deciding what I'm going to do. Think of it the other side: how would you feel if you were banned without chance of an explanation?

Oh, and Sub: I had noticed and were it not for this thread you would have had an angry email from me, possibly followed up by something more 'official' after I'd spoken to Chrisp&co.

I think the thing that really sets this appart is DJs point: when it comes down to it, nothing was actually lost. He's damaged his own reputation (although I guess it's enhanced if you already thought he was bad?), and will hopefully be appologizing, and will certainly not be doing it again.

But without a serious warning (and I mean a 'next time we'll ban you' warning) he WILL do it again if it pleases him.

And then we may loose something relevant, if we didn't already.

I would certainly ban him if he tries it again.

Oh, and his only reply to this thread was not "I won't do it again", "Sorry" or "I was drunk and angry when I did it", but "I did it very intentionally, in the hopes that no one would notice it, and you screwed me over".

Submariner I really hate having to waste time updating the forum software to stop abuse. Who wants to open up a thread that appears to have new posts just to see a word you posted to remove another thread?

Please just use some common sense, and don't respond to threads unless you have something to add, is it really worth getting banned (or at least drawing more attention to what was said) over nothing?

From a sociological point of view this is fascinating. We now have not one, but two threads devoted to trolling haters who want to trash my personality. Apparently the mods think this totally fine. Such is the blood lust in the mob now that people I have never spoken with and never played with now feel qualified to weigh in with their 'opinion'.

Keep it going... all those sociopaths out there who think this is an acceptable way to treat others.
