@Chaqa ... I could host on January 4 or so but I am going back to school on the 13th, so by beginning things on the 11th, I am back at school by the first day deadline and can prepare everything in the week before since I'll be in Japan through New Years.
I would also like to tentatively announce right now that I intend to institute a two-post-per-day requirement in addition to requiring each living player to vote. Those who don't offer at least two posts per day will be up for replacement during the night. I would like to limit mod kills at all costs, but if no replacement is found during the night, I may elect to mod kill along with the regular night kills. I won't be tracking post count during the night, so this is for day time only. I am also not going to judge quality of posts, so any post, regardless of how short or useless, will work, but I expect players will encourage each other to post something useful. I also do this so that new players are forced to at least try to learn a little bit about the game and participate, even minimally, instead of hiding in the closet until the late game.
My only stipulation here is that a post that includes only a vote without any other text (i.e. "##VOTE bo" with no other discussion) will not count toward my post count. Players are welcome to count these for their own purposes if they like as I won't post any official post count unless requested.
I don't see this as a detriment to the mafia. Even if they want to stay under the radar, two posts isn't much.
