Argentina is doing amazing. But I am praying for an underdog unexpected Ecuador victory.

Those are just hopes from me, not predictions.

Venezuela has been superb. Peru has been a surprise. Brazil was hosed but they did not play well all tournament.

USA - host nation and Ecuador only got one win vs Haiti
Columbia
Chile - Great offense but the defense needs to tighten up
Argentina - They look like they can go on to win it especially once Messi is back, they also have an easier path to the final (US or Ecuador)

Venezuela have been superb? Seriously? That doesn't sound like the Venezuelan team I used to follow. Have they borrowed a squad from somewhere else?

After a quick recap, Venezuelan have been ok... which for Venezuela is pretty awesome.

It's a shame the Yanks and Argies are in the same half of the group, otherwise that would be my pick for the final. As it is, Argentina will beat Mexico and win it.

Unlucky for Ecuador. They missed so many chances. Valencia had 2 or 3 headers that he should have scored.

Mexico got smashed and I might cry. Colombia must give them vengeance.

Good god the Chileans destroyed El Tri. I would almost feel bad for them except it's El Tri and they deserve it.

Argentina is too much but if USA can manage to pull off a 3rd place finish that would be best ever in a Copa for them. I think Chile will wipe the floor with the Colombians.

An Argentina-Chile rematch is in the offing, not a bad final if it happens.

Looking forward to the ARG/Chile final as it should be if the soccer gods are in a good mood.

US/Argentina game is going to be insane. I expect it to be less chippy than the last two US games. Argentina doesn't seem to play the ugly, physical game that a lot of the Latin American countries tend to play (from what I've seen in this tournament, anyway). Argentina has finesse. The US is, IMHO, more athletic. If the US is having a good day, they could give Argentina a run for their money. Either way, I'll be watching tomorrow night.

I'm not a Mexico fan, but I was hoping they'd have a better showing against Chile. I didn't want them to win, but I do want the CONCACAF teams to do well. That game was brutal. I almost turned it off toward the end.

Poor Lavezzi. That fall looked terrible. I hope Argentina can finally win a major tournament. Chile is going to try to antagonize them, get in their heads, but I don't think it will matter. Argentina have too much depth, too much quality. That Messi freekick goal was beautiful. I hope he scores a hattrick in the final.

USMNT's weak midfield got exposed with all those turnovers. It could have easily been 6-0, Guzan had a nice save or two and Argentina passed the ball among their defenders a lot instead of keeping their foot on the gas.

Messi's not playing for the Argentine national team anymore.
