Allow me time to post each country’s information. Here’s some info on how to read the posts:
Entries are as follows:
Opening move…….games (pct)….wins (pct)…draws (pct)…survivals (pct)…eliminations (pct)
The games is the number of occurrences within the roughly 4,000 games for the data I received. The percentage is the percentage of times it was played (this pct is reasonable for any number of games). Wins, draws, survivals and eliminations are the number of times that opening won, drew, survived and was eliminated within the total times it was used. These percentages reflect the percent of wins among games that used that opening (draws, survivals, eliminations, etc).
Q: Why aren’t all the openings represented?
A: I used only those openings that had at least 30 appearances. If an opening was used less than 30 times, I discarded it.
Q: Why are the total number of games used by each country different?
A: Having discarded openings for a country that were used less than 30 times, it might be that, out of the course of some 4,000+ games, one country has 6-7 random crap openings that were not used while others have only 1 or 2. If a game displayed one of these openings, I did not discard that game, but I rather did not tally that rare opening for that one country but tallied the other openings for the other 6. Therefore, there will be fluxuation among the totals.
Q: This is great stuff Tru, where can I get more?
A: Email me. My stuff is free and in PDF form.
Q: Ugh, Tru, I’m tired of seeing you post this crap. Will you shut up?
A: Nope. Ignore the thread.
