@brainbomb: if people listened to me earlier in the game you would had died.
@ghug: by then I really had stopped caring about the game as town was pretty much completely lost at that point (I was VERY frustrated that so many people thought I was scum when I was probably the only remaining townie who had not done anything blatantly scummy all game). I also think it was quite ridiculous that your argument for me being scum was that my reads had not evolved, when I rarely evolve my reads as town in recent games because I have come to realize that I am more often right in my early reads than on my late ones (pretty sure the scum team I was pushing early on included all three of meme, brainfart and krellin, along with you - I guess it really sucks that I got stuck on you and none of the other three). I also think the setup was waaaaay too favorable for mafia from the beginning. Responding to arguments is something I do when I have the time to do so, This game happened to fall in the same dates my graduate project was due (turned it in yesterday) so I had significantly less time to catch up with the game than expected. Either way, I do not think responding to arguments is all that important as most of the time it ends up confusing more than helping. What I think is that most townies should revert to Occam's razor logic more often. Each game we play I see more farfetched theories as to why someone is mafia, and we are just making it too easy for mafia teams. Keeping it simple should really help town. If a town PR gets lynched, you HAVE to look at the group of people who lynched that PR. If a tied vote happens, you HAVE to look at the people who tied the vote. And so on. Of course sometimes VTs do these things, but we as VTs cannot allow mafia to think they can get away with these actions and not be lynched. We need to make the mafia afraid of taking these risks. Anyone who ties a vote needs to die the day after, anyone who leads the charge against a town PR needs to die the day after (for example, if you had died and we had seen you were town early on, it would had been quite easy to see who was piggybacking on you as mafia to lynch y2k).
