Great example I/T
gameID=173452

I am not just showing this because I won, I am showing this because here we have an example of a I/T agreed upon in 1901 that worked out well for both parties (up until the eventual and nessecary stab and solo)

With 30 point leads in Ohio and Florida this is over. Bernie will drop out likely sometime next week.

krellin, when the superdelegates have decided a non-zero number of Democratic nominations, feel free to talk shit. 'Til then, you're just talking bullshit.

"Let me go ahead and pencil all of you in with y2k / bo_sox (not actual democrats) and say you wont be voting in the fall unless its for Bernie (regardless of if hes a dem or ind by then)."

Not a monolith, bb. I suspect Bernie's and Hillary's presidencies would look substantially different, but I'd be happy with either over any Republican at this point.

Thats bo_sox and wjessop to ask on the l mafia question krellery lol.

Anyway Bernie won in Nebraska and tons of my friends were working both sides. It made it very awkward having friends putting my name down as a Hillary and a Bernie supporter. Obama carried Omaha in 2008 vs McCain. Omaha also went for Cruz too. Its a fucked up electorate. Anyway Im trying to vote in Missouri tuesday. Im not sure if theyll let me since ive not been here 12 months yet.

Either way in the general election Ill be a Missouri voter, supporting anything resembling a Democrat vs any douche the Repubs try to spew onto the public.

@Chaqa every major head to head poll has Hillary beating Trump by 12 D or more in some instances.
The only head to head where Clinton loses is to Rubio.
Chaqa (3971 D(B))

Things I read a few weeks ago had Clinton losing to Trump, but Trump losing to Sanders.

Must have been well over a month ago. Hillary has won every poll since start of 2016.

Nope, Check yesterday. Lost to Cruz and Rubio. Lost to Trump Feb 26

My bad, she also lost to Trump yesterday
Yoyoyozo (95 D)

Oh wait, that's florida. But she did lose to Cruz and Rubio
brainbomb (295 D)
09 Mar 16 UTC
Well I agree. Cruz and Rubio shes losing too in H2H on MSNBC AND CNN this morning. Im not denying that.
Rubio has 0% chance of winning now so not sure what your point is...
Cruz will lose badly due to inability to appeal to Latino, Women, and African American voters. The only way Cruz could win the Presidency is massive voter apathy and record turnout of white country bumpkins rigging up their covered wagons to go do some votin'.
brainbomb (295 D)
09 Mar 16 UTC
Also Cruz is canadian so Im pretty sure Hillary would use the birther argument to crush him. All Hillary has to do to be Trump is just let him do most of the talking. He will offend people without her having to say much at all.

Consider fact 1.
Trump was a Hillary supporter for her NY senate campaign. (All she has to do is bring that up)

Fact 2
Trump is a Planned Parenthood donor.
(All Hillary has to do is challenge him once on the issue for people to assume hes just as big of a liar as She is)

I support brainbomb's interpretation of pledged votes. To those who say superdelegates can change their mind, the electorally chosen delegates can, and some must, change their allegiance in an open convention. And it certainly isn't some media conspiracy against Bernie Sanders, since superdelegates have always been counted in past presidential primaries.
JECE (1322 D)

While I prefer Clinton over Trump hands down, Trump may very well beat Clinton in a general election:
http://static.currentaffairs.org/2016/02/unless-the-democrats-nominate-sanders-a-trump-nomination-means-a-trump-presidency

Bernie Sanders, on the other hand, curshes Trump by huge margins in head-to-head polling, nationally as well as in battleground states.

"I support brainbomb's interpretation of pledged votes."

While you're free to support an incorrect interpretation, that doesn't change its truth value.

I reject your reality and actual definitions of concepts and substitute my own flawed reality and definitions.
Lethologica (203 D)

First, your logic assumes that "pledged delegates" is some kind of colloquial term being tossed around by news networks, to be defined in the manner making the most sense to you, when in fact it's a formally defined term for what you called "electorally chosen delegates". That was what I was originally commenting on w.r.t. your comment.

However, since you ask for further argument, the differences between pledged delegates and superdelegates are quite important. First, the odds of a superdelegate actually changing their vote before the convention are higher than the odds of a delegate voting against their pledge at the convention. Second, superdelegates don't follow proportional allocation, so Bernie doesn't need to make the same proportional-math comeback in superdelegates to swing the superdelegate vote. Third, as I've said previously, while superdelegates have *counted* in previous primaries, they've never decided the primary. Superdelegates are perceived as the arm of the party establishment (and let's be real, they are), and if the party establishment is perceived as fucking over the pledged delegate vote to put their anointed insider on the hot seat, voters will go bananas.

In fact, it's even funnier that the people that are saying polls are inaccurate (Michigan for example) are using them to justify that Clinton will lose to Trump in the general (no way).

I don't think she has an ongoing Asian tour. I also think any modern article would call her the former Secretary of State.
Jeff Kuta (2066 D)
11 Mar 16 UTC
Not 100% on the protocol, but Clinton will always be called "Secretary" because she did hold that office in the cabinet. But she is now a "former Secretary of State".

Please help me set up my first FtF game with friends
Hi mods, I'd like to use the site to play a FtF game with a group of friends. Any advice on how I should proceed? Not getting banned as a multi during/after the game is strongly preferred.
Also, if anyone has any experience playing FtF with all players entering orders on their phones/tablets and/or with players who never played Diplomacy before, please let me know how it went and what I should expect. Thanks!

Civil Disorder - How many un-sumitted orders until Civil Disorder
I'm currently playing a 20-hour/phase game in which I've seen two players not submit orders for over 5 seasons as well as the retreats and disbands. Really slows the game if the player has left the game. When does Civil Disorder take over and moves are made automatically?

Hey guys, it's redhouse, it's been a while.
Just so you know: the US have gone completely mad. If you have Donald "bleeding from wherever" Trump heading the major right wing race and Mitch "Constitution? What's a constitution?" McConnell heading the senate, something is wrong.
Very, very, very wrong.
