Bugs
Anyone that can say if there is actually a special email or place that one should contact when there are bugs in your games? I have tried to get hold of this through the Help sight and is then directed to SourceForge.net, but that is not so easy to find out there how to post problems on specific games. Anyone that can give me a clue? Thanks.

Hey Putin, MAN UP
I saw noted sex advice columnist Dan Savage speak tonight in Madison and he used the terms "gay" and "homosexual" interchangeably. Since we've all been made PAINFULLY aware that the term "homosexual" is an outdated and disparaging epithet, perhaps Putin can explain to us all why he is correct and one of the worlds foremost gay right activists is a bigot.

Muted in a normal press game?
I need help with protocol. Before the S1901 moves and after only an initial greeting message I have been muted by another player such that no messages go through. Apparently no other player is experiencing this. Shouldn't that be against the rules? What recourse do I have? I am not interested in playing in this environment, but I do not want to have a "resign" on my record either.

Game 105217 Question
gameID=105217

Split Diplomat here says I cheated. I don't understand how I could have. Maybe because I took 3 sc's from a player that went CD, but if you look at the map of the game, you will see that I would have won anyway, as I was about to take the 3 Sc's from Russia within another year. What do you guys think?

I want to add I am definitely speaking from an outsiders perspective, I dont know too much. Judiciary very well may be full of counter revolutionaries, i was basing my opinion on the popular outrage at the declaration

Arab countries becoming democracies, lol. That's the absurdest thing I've ever heard. The common denominator of virtually every armed conflict currently going on in the world is the presence of islamic extremism.
Jamiet99uk (873 D)

Sorry redhouse, where are you going with that argument? Are you suggesting that all Arabs are islamic extremists? More xenophobia from you, what a shame.

I don't think Morsi's going anywhere. He already semi-purged the military and the guys left have made their beds with the new government. Mubarak was forced out in large prt because the military turned on him to so that they could preserve their power, and I can't see that happening again so soon. After all, Morsi is literally the first elected leader of Egypt in 5,000 years. Chucking him out can't be all that easy.

And even with this putsch on Morsi's part it's unlikely he'll be able to turn Egypt into Iran-on-the-Nile. For one, the country's one bombing raid on the Aswan High Dam away from ruin. They'll give vocal support to Hamas and may turn a blind eye to arms shipments but outright aid is impossible and their leaders are smart enough to know it. Egypt also can't piss off America too much since the Egyptian economy is hugely reliant on American aid. The worst case scenario is just another Saudi Arabia type state in the Middle East. Still pretty bad, but still not an unmitigated disaster. I won't give up on Egypt till I see what a second election looks like.

after doing a little digging it appears morsi is already trying to backpedal/downplay
Invictus (240 D)

Link? I wouldn't be surprised though. Obama probably gave Morsi a ring and let him know how easy and popular it would be for him to cut off all aid.

Why is it not surprising that Siccy has neither mentioned the garment factory fire which killed over 100+ people in Bangladesh (while the workers were locked inside, yay capitalism) or the Syrian terrorists who blew up 50+ people in Damascus the other day (targeting Christians and Druze).

Nope, instead we get whining about Morsi.

LOL @ Tolstoy's reply to strongarming the courts.
Putin33 (111 D)
29 Nov 12 UTC
Why isn't it surprising at all that people like Invictus go out of their way to pooh pooh authoritarian actions by Islamists but if Chavez did this he'd be calling for a coup.
Invictus (240 D)
29 Nov 12 UTC
What? I didn't intend to minimize the badness of what Morsi did here. I just don't think he'll turn Egypt into West Iran and I still think that Egypt's future is not doomed to Islamist rule. Morsi only barely won in a runoff, after all. Keep on slandering me, though.
Putin33 (111 D)
29 Nov 12 UTC
Which is why the Islamists are rushing to approve an Islamist constitution granting clerics oversight over legislation ala Iran, without the participation of the opposition. The whole purpose of these decrees was to ensure an Iranian-style constitution is approved.
Putin33 (111 D)
29 Nov 12 UTC
The narrowness of their victory is irrelevant. The Iranian Revolution itself was won on the backs of secularists and leftists. This didn't prevent the clerics from hijacking the thing.
Sicarius (673 D)
29 Nov 12 UTC
Putin what are you talking about? I'm just offering my opinion (which I even stated was uninformed) on someone elses thread. I heard about the fire on the radio, terrible news for sure but um... what the fuck are you talking about?
Putin33 (111 D)
29 Nov 12 UTC
You only ever complain about government. A corporation massacres people and we don't hear a peep out of you. But we get endless whining about "moral transmutation" or some bullshit because the government can OMG tax people.
Invictus (240 D)
29 Nov 12 UTC
Putin33 must be new.
Sicarius (673 D)
29 Nov 12 UTC
If you've never heard me talk about the evils of corporations I can only come to the conclusion that the only parts of my post you read is my name, then guess the rest.
Sicarius (673 D)
29 Nov 12 UTC
You didnt hear a peep out of me because
1. no one here is talking about it, except you, just now
and
2. I think most human beings can agree it was a terrible thing. Unless theres some triangle shirtwaist factory apologist on the forums I havnt run into yet
Putin33 (111 D)
29 Nov 12 UTC
"Unless theres some triangle shirtwaist factory apologist on the forums"

They're called capitalism apologists, and this forum is full of them.
Putin33 (111 D)
29 Nov 12 UTC
"If you've never heard me talk about the evils of corporations I can only come to the conclusion that the only parts of my post you read is my name"

Then why the bs about "moral transmutation"? The fact is private acts of terror and violence get excused or overlooked every single day, and you're sitting here claiming that government acts of violence are excused while private acts of violence are condemned, which is completely backwards.
Jamiet99uk (873 D)
29 Nov 12 UTC
Putin, why are you attacking Sicarus? He didn't create *this* thread so you have no grounds on which to criticise him for not creating threads about other issues...
Sicarius (673 D)
29 Nov 12 UTC
I was saying only that the government claimed them as rights. If a corporation does something "bad" they are usually condemned, if in name only. Which, I agree is basically the same as them not being condemned. I mean... its not like coca colas stock dropped after they murdered union organizers, its not like BP went out of business after the gulf spill. You seem to really like to decide what other peoples opinions are for them.
Just because I say Snakes are cool doesnt mean I hate hawks. Just because I say the government is corrupt doesnt mean business isnt. What kind of simplistic asshat way of looking at the world is that? heres an example. Capitalism is "bad" (deleterious to general human and environmental health). Now in a simple black and white world that would mean communism is "good". In a complex world with lots of shades of gray, they both have elements of good and bad that each have to be debated on their own merits. As far as I can tell only one of us suscribes to "capitalism = absolute baby killing evil communism =ray of light baby lamb good"
Personally I think both systems have been poorly implemented, and remain unconvinced that there is a way to implement either that doesnt lead to authoritarianism and exploitation.
Dude... you're a parody. Can you tell us more about how DPRK is a workers paradise?
