I haven't bought the game yet, but looking at all the stuff around and the demo, this game looks damned fun. Anyone else play it?

It seems to me that in this game Persia and Greece are controlled by the same person/close friends, despite it being a gunboat game they are cooperating... not attacking each other, AT ALL, and supporting holds on each other. It is very suspicious.

Agism roolz, ok!.
Invictus (240 D)

This happened at my high school not long after I graduated. Hardly a unique story.

But teens are, as a rule, stupid and ungrateful, in addition to many other undesirable traits. And what else should we expect? Cookies suck if you eat them before they're fully baked. People are the same.
Timur (684 D(B))

Tyran (914 D)

Hey! Only about half of us are stupid! And most people are ungrateful at some point. Lol

Teens are uncaring and ungrateful and selfish and cruel. They're also sensitive and caring and thoughtful and generous.

It's a weird time.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
13 Nov 12 UTC
Yeah, I'm uncaring, ungrateful, selfish, cruel, sensitive, caring, thoughtful, and generous. I agree wholeheartedly.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
13 Nov 12 UTC
Just kind of funny how people like Invictus think they should be okay with stereotyping and generalizing when to say the least doing exactly that is stupid and ungrateful, in addition to many other undesirable traits.
Draugnar (0 DX)
13 Nov 12 UTC
@bo - stereotyping is stupid, but gratitude doesn't have shit to do with stereotyping.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
13 Nov 12 UTC
So saying "every single teenager thinks this way" having no contact with teenagers other than a few illegal sexual relationships over the years is not a stereotype?
Draugnar (0 DX)
13 Nov 12 UTC
@bo - Who are you talking to? Me? I said sterotypes were stupid. I didn't say they don't exist nor have I ever made that statement. And finally, I have never had an illegal sexual relationship with a teen. Unless you want a lawsuit for libel and defamation of character, I suggest you clarify to whom you are talking *and* back up your statement with evidence.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
13 Nov 12 UTC
Wow Draug.. take things out of context much? Of course I'm not talking to you. I could file a lawsuit for just about anything nowadays anyway…
Draugnar (0 DX)
13 Nov 12 UTC
So who said "every single teenager..." and mroe to the point, who is having illegal sex with teens? And you should be certain to clarify what qualifies as "illegal sex with a teen" as in many state, as long as you aren't a person of authority over the teen, 16 is the age of consent.
Draugnar (0 DX)
13 Nov 12 UTC
And I didn't say I would file the lawsuit, but someone else might if they thought you were talking about them.
abgemacht (1076 D(G))
13 Nov 12 UTC
Only Draug would use a thread about a young girl with cerebral palsy as an excuse to remind everyone that it's legal for him to fuck a 16 year old.

Shantih, Shantih, Shantih...RIP Valerie Eliot, Wife and Editor of T.S. Eliot
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/13/arts/valerie-eliot-wife-and-editor-of-ts-eliot-dies-at-86.html?_r=0
Sad...she led a great life, and did a lot to look after Eliot's legacy and letters after he died in 1965, and 86 is a great, full life...but it's still sad to know such a long-standing link to the greatest poet and critic in the English language of the last century (and a hero of mine nearly on par with Shakespeare) is gone.

Things that sound so good, that you ignore facts in opposition
The election threads about the Repubs convincing themselves that Romney would win even though the numbers were against them got me thinking of this. List stuff that people love to spout and believe because it makes them feel good about their choices.
