But their investigation is concluded. Oral indicated it was OK to ask this question once the investigation is concluded, and I am honestly interested in getting the community's view on this as well as hearing what the mods have to say on this subject.

Oh and one or two posts isn't spamming. I didn't create 5 or 6 and the mods have said in the past that this is a self moderated community and that no topic is forbidden except for cheating accusations. This is not one of them. This is an honest inquiry brought about by a confirmed instance of rule.violations (the offender was docked 1000 ) and I no longer care about that instance. I care about the community view as this sort of thimg has been happening a lot recently.

This is a somewhat difficult question. If the game is anonymous, and you were to say something like:

"God damn, I hate it when people don't finalize and I need to go to bed," that's probably fine.

Saying something like, "France, hurry up!" is certainly less fine, as you're drawing attention to a particular country.

If there's really no way to determine which game is being referenced, then I don't see the harm, although I'd recommend against it in any case, as it is up to the discretion of the mods if that criteria is met.

Thanks abge. That is why I was pointing out live anon gunboat. How many of those are going on at once? I bet it would be easy to figure out which game it was. It was easy to do last night.

Exactly my point. The bitching about not readying up and not drawing with references to a specific nation is effectively always about an active live game and, while lots of live games get played here, only a few are played at the same time.

By rules mods draw a game when it's stalemated. In a hypotetical game, where a hypotetical country can't solo, why would it be against the rules. Just because you don't see a solo threat will be stopped for certain, it doesn't mean somebody with very good gunboater skills can't say it for certainty and therefore declare that game is over.

If Kasparov declares a chess game will draw, even though the players still continue, it doesn't mean Kasparov is cheating. He is just more clever ...

Oh and the rules do.not say a mod will draw a game if it is stalemated. The mods themselves have said they will *ask* the player his plans and if they think there is a chance they could succeed, They will give him that opportunity. No game.is stalemated if there are more than 2 players left in it as you can always try to convince the others to reduce the draw, even in ginboat where you back away from the line to encourage the stabbing to commence then hit the weakest spot to try for thise extra SCs.
