Yes, it did, but it was useless because any pair of you could have done it equally as effectively, setting up for you to try for a solo against one instead of two.

If you do, please do it the good way, baltic>den, build fleet in kiel, go for yorkshire instead of edinburgh, followed by fleet denmark to north sea. maybe then you would've had a shot.

I was France. At the beginning of this game I wanted to do a Western Triple because I don't like attacking England and it's easy to plan. Plus, if anyone else gets big ideas (as later events demonstrated) France is in the best position.

Italy thought we were working together until the fall of 1902. I felt bad at the time, but then he dropped (which was too bad).

For those who don't know, in a recent game Fortress Door backstabbed me for a fancy three way draw (http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=101519). So, for this entire game, I kept thinking who was FD and would he stab me again? And he did, in Autumn 1907!

Fortunately I was in a good position. I almost had a solo as a result of Germany's stab, but I had too many fleets in the Balkans/Turkey area. Once England wanted a draw (and I asked for help for a solo, no dice) I knew I couldn't get all the way there.

Germany/FD, everyone told me you kept telling them to attack France, especially at the beginning. Is this true????

Fun game, ultimately. Despite the ass-whopping I got at the hands of Pinky and Germany. :P

I could have soloed, but I guess wrong a couple of times in 1909. If I'd had more armies down there I could have forced Serbia, but I wasn't ready.

In defense of that last line, I like to communicate with everyone in the beginning of the game and see if I can't turn them on someone. It's usually not until 1902/3 that I actually choose my allies but I've talked with everyone.

Yes it was as I told you. Funny thing was I thought I recognized fd as Germany right from the start! I was right!

O_O. My diplomatic strings weren't was reliable as I thought.... here is basicly what happened

1. England I don't get anywhere in our chats

2. Italy makes anti-France moves

3. I get a fancy idea, and go over to France and tell him that England was trying to get everyone in a anti-France alliance

4, I tell England France is planning a Sealion (it WAS true when I said it :P) because he heard that Italy moved on him because of England's influence.

5, Italy moved back, so my plan was screwed

You should try Plan B, which is a pill - err, I mean attack Russia and squeeze England in Scandinavia.

No France and I were staunch allies the whole game.

I thought either Germany or Russia was Fortress Door and England or Italy was Locke.

Vexx and Bonaparte, I don't know if I've played either of you before, but it was fun.

The real hero of the game, of course, was Turkey/Dharmaton. I will play against you again any time, my friend.

Yeah, I was thinking Western Triple pretty much all the way. You almost had me question it right at the beginning, but England never made any moves that were actually anti-French. Maybe if Italy's opening had been a little more, uh, conventional I would have bought it, but there wasn't any reason to and several reasons not to.

Yeah it was my first full press game too. Don't know if I like gunboat or press better really. Played the whole game on an iPod lol, my fingers are bleeding. :P

Ah... you're right! I don't think I've seen anyone else ever use emoticons! I should probably stop, then. Only people I went in expecting was FD, and I was mildly surprised he was Germany... Didn't expect him to be so... sly. I've played with Bonaparte before, but wasn't aware he was in this.

Oh, I didn't fake that... I type like that sometimes, usually when I'm having fun and trying to keep a light atmosphere. How I type really depends on the other person, though, so I guess it can still be said I fake it... I bring out my big-boy words against serious guys, and just keep it laid back, kinda "teenager-ish" for everyone else.
