One of the worst games I've played in.

I was actually pumped about getting austria, I've been wanting to redeem myself with Austria/get some practice to be more competent with it. Start out great for me, I guess right when italy opens to tyrolia and an incompetent Russia is applying absolutely no pressure to me.

Spring 02 i realize there i some fishy crap going on. France has built 3 armies when england occupies the eng chan then he proceeds to rush them all east. Sorry, not buying it, there are no mind readers in gunboat. Its obvious by S'03 there are cheaters playing.

Meanwhile I think we'll be okay, I've got what looks to be a nice back-back alliance going with Italy. He has France coming right at him, so even if he wanted to he won't be stabbing me. So I go to work on Turkey, since Russia still hasnt moved from warsaw/sevetapol.

But no, italy NMRs in A03 leaving france able to walk into rome and take venice at the same time. But wait it get better, S04 italy is back and france has NMR'd. But rather than protect any of his positions he has supported himself into ionian and trieste.

Now I've had my draw/cancel up and I believe turkey throws up a draw now. I assume we are on the same page...ally up take out the multis. But no he wants to take centers from me. S04 England NMRs France completes his CD and italy is back, lol.

A04 - get this...Italy freaking NMRs again, england complete his CD and France is back! Well come to find out much much later, SplitDiplomat bought the multis CD position and cleans up the board.

Several more year of battling back and forth between austria/russia/turkey in the meantime France cleans up a CDd England and a Germany being hit by Russia at the same time. I felt like I tried several times to make a push towards France only to find Turkey too busy gobbling up the position I left vacant.

In the end there was not the slightest roadblock put in Frances way to a solo. Fed up I moved my men to vacant centers, I could care less about my survive record. Can't really say anybody played a good game here. At least I reported the multis, wish I would have known who France was too though. Russia/Turkey wtf, we didn't even try? I guess I expected that from the incompetent russian, but I was surprised to see Zmaj driving turkey. :P SD, you owe me 31 stolen denari, not even kidding, thats pretty bush league imo.

ah fml im going to sleep. lol.

Gen. Lee, your reaction to that craziness in the west was to try for a draw. My reaction was to take what I could, since I felt like I couldn't predict anything. As far as I knew, France or Italy could CD or NMR again. Can't really blame me for scrambling for SCs. All in all, the game sucked, yeah.

Yeah I can see that. Just seemed like you were on board. Man it is tough playing Austria, but I would like some more practice.

I don't think you should include this game in the "rough being Austria" category. There was so much wrong with it..
