10 min is a really long live phase...make it 5 and I will join. games that have a 10 min phase usually last about 4-6 hours

really? I only played real life diplomacy so far, and with about 10 min, we rarely took more than 3 to 4 hours (including disputes about moves and the stuff, which takes roughly half of the time) so it should not be much more than 2 hours... and still, no one is obliged to play the 10 min out completely. so let's give it a try!

ugh! spartans has 37% resign rate (13 out of 35 finished)! there is also a "left: 0" in his record indicating that he has abandoned an ongoing anon game, and i'm sure that some of his 20 defeats must have come from resigns as well.

spartans, it's considered bad form to abandon games. many players on this website refuse to play against players who frequently resign from games.

Ok yebellz most of the games that are resighned are when i unexpectedly had to do somthing with my life.

Having to abandon a game *occasionally* due to extenuating circumstances is alright, but letting that happen in over 1 out of 3 games seems a little excessive.

Look, you can do what ever you want. You can choose to be a reliable player that finishes his games or you can choose to abandon games.
However, other players are also free to choose not to play against unreliable players.

By the way, have you currently abandoned a game that is still in progress? I noticed that it says "Left: 0" on your profile. I believe that suggests that you have abandoned an ongoing anon game (It says 0 due to the way the anon system is implemented and how it updates the records for games still in progress. If you view your profile, I believe it will say Left: 1).

If you logging onto this website to solicit for new games on the forum, why can't you play out that other game that you abandoned? Abandoning a game due to boredom or poor position is never a respectable action.
