This could be a bit random, given the general nature of this thread, but the uni stuff got me interested (and I hope he reads this...):

Figle, Warwick is a (very) good uni. Also, doing Maths there will probably allow a 'less work, more play' social life. You could probably go and do a Master's at Cam if you did well enough after that (and if that's what you want to do). The environment at Cam (where my best mate went, and so I spent some time there) seemed to me to be 'a hell of a lot more work, slightly less play'. The one problem I had with Warwick was that the uni is nowhere near anywhere - which is one of the reasons I chose Exeter instead (but I was studying German rather than Maths, of course!).

I also have a question for you - did you go and check out Southampton? I'm going to be trying to get back into uni to study medicine, and that is one of the few options I have, so I was wondering what sort of feeling you got from it.

Nope, just applied there because it was the best university I could find that didn't require an A in further maths. I didn't visit Warwick until after I accepted the offer either, but I did visit Cambridge twice (once open day, once interview), Bath for an open and I live in Bristol so I see the university all the time.

yes i am thankfully absolutely find this morning, i think it was the tonne of cheese and onion crisps i shoved into my mouth last night that filled the pit. I woke up smellin vile tho, and wishing you guys had just let this thread drop rather than force me to reread and feel much shame.

As you can also tell, my grammar and spelling does not improve when i am sober.
