I dislike the new allocation (though I realize I'm in the minority). It is so NON random.

The game is far along, but from the looks of things you could even gain a build next phase.

The new version will be balanced, not random. There is still a random element - he COULD get Russia in his next game. But that's only a 1.1% chance. Over 70 games, you'd come close to 10 per country - taking a complete, wild-ass guess, three standard deviations would probably be 3, so you'd almost certainly have between 7 and 13 games with each country, and almost everyone over 70 games would be between 8 and 12.

I'm with you dingleberry - random is fine with me.

I haven't played France at all, and I have played 26 games :(

I prefer the random system too.

Random is fine for purists, but some of us care more about fun than purity. ;)

Really though, I have sympathy for those of you who prefer the truely random distribution, it's unfortunate when a feature you like is taken away or doesn't exist. I'm in the same boat, but for the opposite side. I want a more even distribution of countries, so I can try out new things instead of just playing France over and over again, but at the moment that doesn't seem to be in the cards...

Just out of curiosity, why do you prefer the random distribution? It's not like you can actually predict what you'll get even under the new system, you can just be reasonably sure it'll be something new.

I prefer to go to a game with always the same doubt and the same probability of getting one of the 7... even if i have to play Austria 5 times in a row...
You had bad luck (or not) for getting france 3 times in 4 games... that will compensate in some games...
It's the only true factor of luck in this game. It is supposed to be that way and I would prefer that it would stay that way.

Oh... and it is still fun for me...!

I also dislike it. Why can't everyone just accept a 1 in 7 chance in getting whichever country? Its MORE interesting to play the same country at the same time because then you can take alternate paths and assess their success side by side.

Its possible the developers mistook the country complaints for general sentiment. That would be like assuming everyone is a multiaccounter because it comes up on the forum alot.
