If you hate the desktop version you can enable the 'desktop site' feature, at least on chrome

Please make the website stop twitching...glitching.. whatever the fuck it's doing (on desktop nearly every time I refresh or switch pages)

Sorry you're frustrated; sometimes you have to take a step backwards for some temporarily to move forward. What would help is to know what browser you're using, what window size, and if you could take a screenshot of what you're experiencing that'd be great.

You have to appreciate the difficulty of making a website which was created in 2007, right when the iPhone was coming out, look good on a wide range of devices, so we appreciate your patience.

Aw you're so sweet that I feel bad for complaining, sorry! Uhmm, my problem started happening today. I'm using Chrome. Not sure how to take a picture since it lasts .2 seconds. The mobile thing for Chaqa should be fixed.

I'm having a similar thing happen. Using chrome on a droid and whenever it loads a page, it seems to load the next first and then the boxes and buttons and format stuff a second later.

Also, I think the text is too large for some things. Especially usernames on the forum. On Demons post above the first line just consists of "Aw you're so" and the titles for my games drifts off into nothing essentially on the right.

Is the issue that for a moment or two things look odd, but then everything looks okay? Or are things twitching around and moving as you use the site?

Hey Kestas, I can second the desktop chrome page twitch, it is only on initial render of the page. Dimensions don't seem to matter, tested on multiple resolutions to be sure.

The glitching happens for a microsecond as a new page loads. It's quite annoying. I thought it was just me but obviously it isn't. It's almost like a quick flash of blurred text followed by the actual page loading, really messes with the eyes. It's only as the page renders. I'm on a Mac on Chrome Version 61.0.3163.100.

It hasn't been happening the same way on Safari but the page does quickly flash white before it loads. I don't usually use Safari though so I'm not sure how normal that is.

And the forum always triggers it but it can also happen on other screens including login when you are not logged into the site.

The twitch on page load seems to be caused by one of the style sheet (global.css) being loaded a couple hundred ms late.

Works ok on my iPad. On my Mac with firefox the dialogue text sticks

I just sent some screenshots to jmo on Gchat, kestas. Took a couple times, but I timed it right for the glitch :)

Ha, amazing timing catching those screenshots goldie, I forwarded those onto Kestas's email. Along with a link to the changeset from this morning that caused the delayed rendering for the desktop view (but did properly fix the mobile issue, so progress!)

Hey guys! I am the man the made your eyes see that total garbage before every page load!

During testing I didn't see this because I was loading all the pages from my local machine and the render times were low enough that I never saw the page flash. I made another change request to get this resolved so that it happens BEFORE the page is shown, rather than after.

I don't know if it's related, but something new for me is that scrollbars are starting at the top of in-game messaging chats, rather than at the most recent messages. Anyone else? I'm on a windows 10 Chrome 63.0.3239.84 browser.

I’m using Safari in my phone and basically everything is too big and it locks it all to the left of the site. I’ll tske some pics in the morning. Clearingn cache didn’t help

I was having the same problem as Chaqa I think where I loaded it up one day on mobile and it just looked awful. Fixed it by enabling desktop mode on the bottom. Now it looks normal again. Maybe try that?

@PF, that has been happening for a little while now, I know for a fact it didn't just start yesterday.

@Chaqa, yep just confirmed Safari does oversize a little. Your 2 options are using Chrome, or scrolling to the bottom of the site and clicking "Enable Desktop Mode" which renders the site for you without the mobile view.

Jmo, I know for a fact that for me PF's problem started today for me. Wasn't happening yesterday.

@Claesar, PF and HR. Does it happen on phones or laptops? And which browsers, and give me a game example (in pm) because I can't replicate it at all anymore. I did see it several times last week though.

Both on my android phone and Windows 10 PC Chrome (and Firefox). Doesn't happen with IE.

I open a game. It shows the first message rather than the newest.

Also idk if this is happening to anyone else but when I use desktop mode on my phone and load a page it randomly zooms me into somewhere.

It blinks a little on my android but i like the compact format

Enable Desktop Mode worked as a charm, otherwise the long game names (as the Tournament ones) were just making a mess on home screen on my mobile (Chrome on Android).

Mine is better today. Idk why. Looks fine on an iPhone 7 Plus at least.

Same things happens to me, Demon. Every time I load a new page. Not the biggest deal though, just have to zoom out every time.

Hey guys! I have the fix committed to the github. Once ATC merges the changes and uploads them here you will see these fixed:

1. No more flashing of content.
2. You will be kept zoomed out, rather than zoomed in when switching pages.
3. The styles that load with desktop mode enabled will have the old legacy style sheets. So you will have an experience identical before any changes were made.
