Waterways in Fall of the Amercian Empire IV
Playing this variant for the first time and wonder if it is possible in one move to move a fleet from Deep South to Chicago. If this were to work, moving out to Lake Michigan is not possible I assume. Thank you!

Chris Christie endorses Taco Bell combo meal #4 for Presidency.
Chris Christie: *crunch* The ground beef just really sets it off plus taco aligns well with my stance on Dodd Frank and Gay marriage.

What happens if two players get to 18 in the same turn?
Does it 2 way draw? Or keep going?

opinions;
so you have an excellent ally and didnt plan to stab this turn but your ally has 8 hours left to input orders hasn't spoke to you and looks like he might NMR. do you assume the worst and attack or hope for best and not attack? also assume you will be IRL busy the rest of the game an unable to change your decision if he does return.

jDip Fall of America?
Looked around the web and can't seem to find one, is there a module for the jDip client for Fall of the American Empire? I have a forum that's doing play by post and we're seeing which variants we can use.

Email Notifications??
Is it not possible to have email notifications when game begins, messages are received, orders are processed etc? After playing a few games I wonder how much time I have spent checking my phone or computer to see if orders have been processed or I've received any messages.

Trump wins big, Clinton, not as big. Rubio takes number 2 as Kasich and Carson fall into irrelevancy.

David Cameron reaches new low at Prime Minister's Questions
At PMQ's this afternoon, Jeremy Corbyn asked right-wing PM David Cameron a serious question about health funding.

David Cameron's response to Mr. Corbyn:

"Put on a proper suit, do up your tie, and sing the national anthem."

Really? Is this the level our pathetic excuse for a democracy has fallen to? Cameron made no attempt to answer the question, and instead decided to make critical remarks about his opponent's clothes.

Desperate and despicable. How anyone can regard David Cameron with anything other than contempt is beyond me. Is this how the Prime Minister of a leading civilised nation should conduct himself in public? Really?

Another pathetic attempt at getting outraged over nothing. Jamie, mate, you're embarrassing yourself.

In PMQs a Labour MP, during the Prime Minister's answer regarding the NHS, asked him "what would your mother say". Cameron answered him.

Jamie is apparently outraged by Cameron answering questions in Prime Minister's Questions. Perhaps he should be more outraged by the Labour MPs asking stupid questions?

Even the left wing press are scoring this as a strong Cameron performance.

He should answer the question put to him by the person invited by the speaker to put a question. That's the format. Addressing a random heckler in order to side-step the actual question is gutless.

I really think the last thing that Cameron is, is gutless. Your Citizen Smith over-the-top reactions does the left of centre side of the argument no favours at all... just a little more and you'll be walking in step with George Galloway.

It just occurred to me to ask, is there a term for attacking the dress sense rather than the argument?

"Ad sartorium", perhaps?

JamesYanik: How on Earth would you find Corbyn's response objectionable? He pulled off a much classier retort than I would have been able to think of to an uncalled for slight.

I don't think Cameron could get any lower than bragging about helping the Wahhabists slaughter the Yemeni people.

"Even the left wing press are scoring this as a strong Cameron performance.

That notorious Blairite rag counts as leftwing now? I suppose in the context of the pathetic English press, it does.

Does it even matter what David Cameron insults Jeremy Corbyn with? I would suppose that over 90% of Britons don't give a shit.

"Pathetic English press [...] Blairite rag".

Nonsense. You don't know what you're talking. It was this English/British newspaper that won the Pullitzer Prize for first helping bring Edward Snowden's material to public attention.

The Guardian is far from Blairite.

@ JECE

I have to agree there was nothing wrong with Corbyn's retort either. Although in terms of absolute honesty I struggle to believe that that is the sort of thing Corbyn's mother would say. Cameron's mother's comment is very much more believable, and indeed matches almost exactly to what my grandmother and several aunts have said on many occasions.
Putin33 (111 D)

Oh come now, the Guardian's coverage of Corbyn has been so hostile that they've turned off their own readers to such a degree that they had to an internal investigation
http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2015/08/the-guardian-launches-inquiry-into-corbyn-coverage-worse-than-reporting-of-vietnam-war/

And their chief opinion editor Jonathan Freedland, makes Blair look positively leftwing when it comes to anything about the Middle East.

Europe through History....
Came across this link, apologies as its via facebook but couldn't find it anywhere else. https://www.facebook.com/mark.delvecchio.7/videos/941931915903515/

Quite an interesting demonstration of how Europe boundaries altered and made me think it might be quite fun to do a similar time lapse of a Diplomacy game if anyone was bored....
