Is it normal to abbreviate things?

I sometimes say "Time to TCB it" for taking care of business. Or "ED" for energy drinks. Back in the Blackberry days I would talk about "RIM". Am I a geek for talking about how I have a case of ED or how I desperately wanted a RIM job?

The Redex Foundation

Sadly, one out of 10 webdippers is born with a red x and there's currently no cure. I have, therefore, established The Redex Foundation--a division of The Red Cross--to find and eradicate this disease. We are currently looking for volunteers to put together awareness flyers and make buttons.

There's a new game mode available: "Hidden draw votes". Players in hidden draw vote games can only see their own draw vote (although pause and cancel votes remain public). This will be of particular interest to the lusthog community, and players who love claiming that they'd like to draw, when secretly they want to keep playing.

The option is available under the advanced options on the game creation page. Of course, the default is public draw votes, as it has always been.

Have a play of some games with this new mode - if it's well received, we'll keep it. If no-one likes it and no games get played, then we'll remove it so as not to clutter the list of features we offer.

Forgot to mention - the draw vote type is also now an option on the game search page, so you can find new games starting with this game mode.

For those who don't know, on the "Games" page you can click the each tab to bring up search options restricted to that tab (so to easily search the "New" games tab, just click "New" twice). Yes, making this more obvious is on the todo list.

E Six Sigma -- Crap or just a terribly organized scam?

I was curious about the scam that was posted recently, and, being inquisitive as to the kind of idiot that posts these things thinking they'll produce gullible clients by posting on forums for games composed of highly logical thinkers, I went to the website to learn more. I'm confused, though because I can't tell if it's just a crappy work program or a horribly organized scam.

Land bridge from Tarraco to Baleares?!

My army is in Tarraco and when I select Baleares, (via convoy) does NOT appear in my move options, despite the presence of a navy in Ligurian Sea.
Can I move in there without a convoy?
