You can't be that stupid. He means when people say "epic" to mean something like "good," not when it's used as a noun to accurately describe an extensive and high quality cultural project. Same idea with "fail."
No one would say these words, in and of themselves, are lazy. "Like" as indispensable a word as you can find. But, like, when somebody, like, uses it, like, as a verbal, like, crutch, to, like, just get a, like, thought out, then it, like, becomes, like something else.
