March madness 2013!!!
In this 2013 basketball season it has been filled with upsets and well the battle of the better teams. I personally think the final four will be Michigan state Spartans, Indiana Hoosiers, Florida gators, and Michigan wolverines. Now knowing selection Sunday hasn't happened I thought I would have a little college basketball talk with people over America or out side who follow the college basketball association. What do people think will happen in the tournament. Thoughts?

e e cummings variant game
In the thread: threadID=982959 - hecks made an excellent proposal:

"An e e cummings variant game. Public press only, no capitalization, no punctuation, all comments must be made in deliberately vague e e cummings style poems."

is we are change right wing?
i saw one of those hosts on msnbc go off on extreme right wing patriot groups such as we are change. since when is we are change a patriot group? is that new?

is blankflag new?

i think they were extreme left at one point. somehow the media is telling the masses now to think they are extreme right. and after the republicans get back in next term who knows they might become extreme left again. funny how that works.
@redhouse i think blankflag was extremely old at one point. somehow the forum is telling the masses now to think he is extremely new. and after the mods get back in next thread who knows he might become extremely old again. funny how that works.

They don't style themselves as "left" or "right"... Certainly I wouldn't describe them as a "patriot group".

You should put "We Are Change" in quotation marks, or at least capitalize it. Otherwise "is we are change right wing" sounds like the worst grammar ever.

blankflag doesn't listen to grammar advice, he figures we should have to work to read his shit. The funny thing is he expects to be taken seriously nonetheless.

he writes like e e cummings
Ha! Development aid does work actually! The sector is rightly getting a hard time to force them to prove it, but it does work. One of the core issues is just that if you commit to it 0,7%, you also get 0,7% of the desired result. ;-)
redhouse1938 (429 D)

Hmm. So what makes it so great?
blankflag (0 DX)
11 Mar 13 UTC
i just thought of something. maybe they think the public is so polarized that they can even have democrats believing that they are extreme right (and being told that on msnbc) while republicans believing they are extreme left (hearing that on fox or something) and have them both believe these opposite definitions at the same time. could their control over the media be so extensive to allow for such testicular fortitude?
So great? I don't know if it is. But I've worked around, and tend to think my current organization does it better than the rest, because they focus on helping people to change the world themselves. And also, though dev orgs rarely admit it, the succesful ones focus on value transferal. Teaching the people the value of integrity over corruption, participation over control. If you get that right, it's amazing what people can do to change their own societies. The dev orgs who try to do stuff by themselves rarely get anywhere.

@Jamie,
I'd totally join an e e cummings variant game. Public press only, no capitalization, no punctuation, all comments must be made in deliberately vague e e cummings style poems. Make that happen!
dubmdell (556 D)
11 Mar 13 UTC
blankflag, you are a deplorably poor idiot. You can't even idiot things correctly. If you remove formal punctuation marks but replace them with "returns" or tabbing, then you have not increased confusion for the reader. A lack of periods when each thought is contained to its own stratum is not a bother. When sentences run into each other and there is no distinguishing of thoughts due to a lack of formal punctuation (for example, "is we are change right wing?"), then there is confusion and a decline in the readability of a communication.

@hecks, curiously, your mockery of blankflag is more readable than half the posts this fellow has made.

@blankface: See you used parentheses. Yes, punctuation is very important for written communication. That's why it was invented thousands of years before you were even considered a possible (unfortunate) addition to the world.

Gods, man, lmgtfy.com/?q=punctuation+history+wiki

Apparently it is as old as 8th century BC in one text, 5th century BC otherwise, so technically, yes, punctuation is thousands of years old. However, modern symbols and their usages are only a few hundred (didn't read far enough to get a hard date).

Anyway, tarry on with your insults. They're technically correct.

What doea your name mean?
Some people have obvious references to historical or fictional characters, others are some form of their name (like mine, my name really is Phil) but for those with more cryptic names, I'm curious where they came from.

Some that I know from previous posts - draugnar is Tolkien elvish for some kind of wolf, Nigee is a name one of his friends used to call him, etc. But what about Bosox, mapu, sbyvyl, redhouse, abgemacht, etc. ?

The Most Conservative Contest
The question is: Who on the WebDip forums is the most Conservative? It shouldn't be too hard to figure out, as there are only a handful of Conservatives on this site (Krellin, Draug, ConservativeMan and myself come to mind). So in order to figure it out, we will post our positions on the issues here, and let the others decide.
