Thule bug?
I convoyed an army to Thule so I wouldn't have to make a double convoy to NWT, and now any time I try to move or convoy the army my Chrome page has an error and I have to reload. Fortunately I don't need the army, but it's an annoying bug because I'd like to try this move in a bigger game but don't want to risk the error. Anyone else encountered this? Here's the game:

Ah, Mr. Jefferson, Where HAVE You Gone...Tax Atheists For Not Going To Church? HA!
http://clergygonewild.com/cults/53-other-cults/1670-christian-leader-wants-to-tax-atheists-for-not-going-to-church
Surely everyone here can agree this is simply ludicrous? Even if you're a believer...well, by that logic, what do you do with Muslims and practicing Jews? Tax them for attending Temple or Mosque instead of Church? What DID ever happen to our American belief in a Separation of Church and State?

USS Iowa (BB-61) vs. IJN Yamato
To commemorate the Iowa's recent opening as a museum ship (and the official end of the battleship as a weapon of naval warfare), who do you think would win between a head-to-head, one-on-one match-up between the USS Iowa (or any Iowa-class) and the Yamato?

Happy America Day!
Today we celebrate our independence. Don't forget what that means when today is gone, though. Good tidings to all you fellow Americans on literally the greatest day in all of Earth's history. And don't any of you British forget what today is all about either!

Pet Adoption.
So we're looking at adopting another cat this weekend (that will bring us to 2 cats). Has anyone else found that some of the rescue for either cats or dogs have some ridiculous questions. Like where you work and the phones numbers. Your DL number and if they can come into your home and look around. I kid you not actual question off of some of the applications.

A question about Diplomacy (not Jesus)........sorry to be boring
If a game has a 24-hour phase and everybody makes their Spring moves and Readys up in 5 minutes how long do you have to wait before it moves to the next phase?
Even in 24 hour games if everybody is Ready in 5 minutes would you not want the game to progress straight away.?
I know that the Retreat and Build phase work this way but not sure about the Diplomacy phases.

once everyone hits ready, the phase moves on

So in theory even if you had a 24-hour phase game you could play it like a 5-minute game?
in theory

Before we had proper live games players used to agree to ready in five minutes. Didn't always go as planned, alas, as players would CD.
NigeeBaby (100 D(G))
09 Jul 12 UTC
I suppose once they have 'Left' as in CD'ed the 5-minute Ready-Up thing works again but not until you have had 2 x 24-hour phases waiting for them to CD.
I just can't imagine the world without 5-minute Diplo games, it must have been tough in those days, like working down pit or scurvy

spyman you're a gold donator but you have only played 30 games in 4 years, who are you spying for because you're obviously not on this forum for the Diplomacy? Tell me now or I'll have to call in Columbo and there'll be a lot more questions as you well know

Spyman may only have 30 games, but it's quality, not quantity, that counts, fucktard ...er... Nigee. ;-)

Nigee
Combined losses of 216 games lost/resigned out of 340. This means you lose about 64% of the time..

Spyman
Combined losses of about 11 games out of 30. This means he loses bout 37% of the time.

Now, im no master of ratios, but you're not exactly the brightest domino on the block....

and in case you wanted to look it up for me and start bashing Muahhh....I have a combined lost of 16 games out of 50. I lose about 32% of the time...and I don't resign... ;)

Just to defend spyman here...and piggy on Draug, don't be stupid, as his input should be just as, if not, MORE valid than yours. :D
Though, upon a second read, I am sure you were just trying to tell a joke, that being said, sorry :P

55/146 (38%) lost here. Comparable to spyman adn close enough to SG to make Nigee look like a Nemo's dad amongst the sharks. You better hope we are followers of the "Fish are friends, not food" school, Nigee. :-)

I think you kinda missed the point completely but that's cool, the clue was in the words I wrote, it wasn't supposed to be a test of your intelligence.
The point I was making was that Spyman has been around for a very long time but is a gold donator having only played 30 games, I wasn't passing reference on his quality of play, his game stats, etc, etc. He has also been very helpful about subjects concerning the running of the website, like a benevolent dictator. Could Spyman be an alias for the man himself? That was kinda what I was alluding to, obviously not very well :-)
Draugnar (0 DX)
09 Jul 12 UTC
Ah! And no, Kestas has his own account. Spyman just chose to donate enough to get the gold donator coin.

There's a saying in comedy. If you have to explain the joke, it's not a very good joke. :-)
