I'll sit for you if you join a game I'm in. Then, after we've agreed through long, arduous and occasionally tense negotiations to ally, I'll move in and "protect" your supply centers as you engage in battles elsewhere.

This may not exactly help your ghost rating per se, but I think it may have some beneficial impacts to mine, as well as help me w/ my 'talking to myself' skills - which have definitely been lacking of late.

I'm with jmo, this seems a bit sketchy... Your GR is meant to be yours, Alderian, and if you are not actively playing on the site, you should not be on the current list. I get that sometimes things come up and you need to get a sitter, but to get a sitter to play a whole game, that seems like a violation of the ethics of this site and actively using multiple accounts, when playing "Alderian", people should be playing "Alderian", especially when initially joining a game with "Alderian"...

Maybe it's just a hippie (valley) Oregonian thing where anything goes, (says the Oregonian on the other side of the mountains)?!

I lived in Eugene for four years, going to U of O, it was awesome!! I never did make it to The Country Fair, which was probably pretty smart, but it would have been something to experience...

@MM... I must respectfully disagree.

When I'm playing Alderian, I most assuredly want it to be someone else. That way, the next time I play Alderian (who will be a different non-Alderian I presume), I won't let anything that occurred in the aforementioned game influence my relationship with him (or the not-him) in said current game. Subsequently, it would eliminate even the teeniest, wee perception of meta-gaming.

To test this theory, I would like you to play under my user name for the next 6 months, or until my GR gets up into the top 10 - whichever comes first.

Mind you, I am making this great and noble sacrifice for the greater good of research.

We have friends that moved to Shaker Heights from Oregon. Very nice people. Granted, that is not in anyway a scientific means of assessing the general demeanor of Oregonians... but I can state w/ honesty that the ones I've met are pretty cool.
