My game is still going on, is it really the only one??

Mine has been paused for over three weeks now, we are either waiting for Barn3tt to return or for a mod to put in a replacement. This is the problem with mods pausing games, in my opinion.

This has nothing to do with the Mods. We are merely surrogates for the TD, who appears to be AWOL.

Mods should punish people who decide it's better to ruin a tournament they voluntarily joined than to put in the 5 minutes / day that are necessary to enter some decent orders. I don't know, dock half their points or put a mark of shame next to their name... You guys should think of something!

For the most part, tournaments are not in the jurisdiction of the mods. It is up to the TD to handle it.

Being a mod and a TD are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Geo happens to be both.

Failed tournaments are definitely making this site less attractive and thus it should fall under the jurisdiction of the mods to intervene.

My game is still running but painfully slowly

Sorry, I was wondering why only 1 game for each player had started. I believe all game 1s have gotten off the ground. But no game 2s. Last time this tournament was run games were started far closer together. Furthermore, I believe Geo told us that we would start botht he first two at the same time. He also made tons of promises like "everyone will receive an e-mail by the end of the day tomorrow" when in fact e-mails were almost a month away. It is pretty ridiculous that someone can expect a group of 30 or whatever players to be active, non-CDing participants when the tournament director cannot even keep up with the commitment he made.

I don't plan to play a lot of games through the summer. I have committed to this tournament thinking it would be moving faster. I joined under false-pretenses and sincerely regret this.

Geofram did post a thread saying he was back on and going to take care of things now that finals are over. Somehow the thread got pushed out really quickly.

Anyone remember where we can find info on the scoring system for the tournament?

He said he was back, but has he done anything? This is just another instance of Geofram syaing one thing and doing naother. Quite tiresome, really.
