Where can I see the Game ID? And how does one resign?
I did check the FAQ before posting this thread, but didn't find answers.

About Game ID, I've seen people pasting a game ID in such a way that it appears as a link in a message. Where do I see the Game ID, and how do I copy and paste it in such a way?

MOD need help!!!
Game ID 61430. This game I am in has been paused for almost 300 days and most of the players have disappeared. I was wondering if it could be unpaused or even better, forcefully drawn. I would just like my points from the game.

If any moderators are online, please check the mod email now if at all possible.
Strongly suspect cheating in a live game and would really appreciate being able to salvage it if possible.

Howdy. I am going to start reading Satanic Verses, and wanted to see if anyone wanted to do a book club type deal. We could read along and discuss what we think about it in the forum.

This Time On Philosophy, Erm, Whenever--The Club of Ideas and Intellect: What's In/Out?
On the heels of that "Daily Bible Reading" thread and the impersonations (Mujus, I invite you and your followers along into this thread) and many have ridiculed the arguments made therein as illogical--myself included. It seems, more than ever, that there's a divide, in these amateur ranks and in the "professional" ranks, as to what is viewed as properly intellectual. So! What views and theories are intellectually "valid," in your view, and which are bunkum?

Am I wrong if I blame england?
Not at all.
rokakoma (19138 D)

We could have pull this easily by england taking western med, I made the space, and tyrr would have retreated to spain.

But England was doing NOTHING. Holding Kiel???? why? Not supportiing me into norway, so I get abuild, and be able to defend? Not supporting me into StP to get a build and defend??? Meanwhile england's fleet were just having a holiday up north
I think you should have supported England to St.Peterburg and it would have been a draw because you had no need of a build to defend Tunis.
rokakoma (19138 D)

I know, I know, but Englang could have chosen supporting Barents to StP by finland, and moving to StP from Norway, 1 or the other would have succeeded 100%
rokakoma (19138 D)

By that solution we could have taken StP regardless of what I choose, supportin him, or moving from Barents.
rokakoma (19138 D)

To be fair, I could have chosen barent->stp and bothnia supports norway. One of them would have succeeded as well.
If you would have paid attention to the orders, I tried to support you from Barents to StP the first time, but then we both changed the next turn, and neither of us changed the last turn. I tried to coordinate with you each time, but we both just guessed wrong 3 times in a row.
And we would have never had to worry about St. Pete had you not been harassing me so late in the game when it was clear that Austria was going to make a run at a solo. You had TWO fleets up around Scandanavia instead of down in the Med where they should have been. That's complete BS if you blame this game on me. If anything, you are the one to blame.
That makes sense too.
rokakoma (19138 D)

Chief: before you supported me, I had supported Russia's norway to StP and your army right after, when you took finland. So you were the one who should have checke for orders, before deciding how you take it.

Your 2nd army build fos totally useless. I couldn't go to mediterranean, because you were clearly doing nothing up north. I wanted to get a territory, so I can build south, making my defense faster. The fastest way to get down to med for me, was to get a new build. Or you build a fleet and help me.

Support holding Kiel?? What for, you should have been in Baltic waaay earlier.
I attacked Norway, to show you should support me into there, neither did you do that one as well.

I was in a hurry to grab StP because I knew med can be held, but italy cannot.
Taking Denmark? Holding norwegian, instead of starting towards med??? Why for? Getting a new build for yourself, when a new build in Brest is much more effective?

What were you thinking, when you thought having you a new build at the very and is more important than having me a new build?
You act as if YOUR ARMY IN LONDON, at at time when Austria already had 14 centers, was a perfectly reasonable. In fact, you seem to think that it was an appropriate way to get the most efficient builds to stop him.

But you know what I think would have been more efficient? Taking the 3 troops you had assaulting England and using them in the Mediterranean to stop Austria from being able to take Italy. It was obvious in Spring 1907 that Austria demanded everyone's attention, but you continued to occupy England through 1908.
This game was not lost in St. Petersburg; it was lost around Italy, and it was ill-defended because all of your troops were up north way too late in the game.

If you had known stalemate lines, you would know italy cannot be hold, it can be overtaken easily, just the matter of time. The only place which can be hold is Tunis, for which I was perfectely prepared, by letting you into western med, and prepare tyrr to retreat to spain.

I wrote it earlier, Split wrote it as well. This game was lost on StP, the rest was okay, and perfectly contained.
St. Pete may have never even fallen (or it at least could have been addressed much sooner) had you not been attacking me through 1908. I made moves all the way back in Autumn 1906 to show that I wanted to move toward St. Pete, but you took that build season to destroy in Naples and keep an army in Yorkshire and a fleet in EC. And then you proceeded to fight your way into London. So I had to waste the next two years fighting you off my island.

Split also wrote that my comment made sense. He was probably overjoyed to see you TRYING TO HOLD LONDON WHILE HE WAS PICKING UP HIS 14TH CENTER. Look at 1906-1908 in the game and tell me that your moves are not at all to blame for St. Pete receiving too little attention, too late. Had you left me alone after 1906, when I signaled my intention to start moving toward St. Pete, we could have easily won it back or held it AND you could have substantially delayed Austria around Italy.

I have played poor games before and admitted it. This was not one of those games. This game was on you.

[MAY] Face-to-Face Diplomacy in NYC!
After taking a brief self-imposed vacation from all things non-academic in April, I'm now getting back to organizing games this May. The schedule is tight but we can squeeze some stuff in here. For the sake of keeping things easy I'm just going to copy and paste the message I sent out to my email list here (PM me with your email address if you'd like to be put on the list, or if you didn't get the email for some reason):

Abortion
With the new discussions in parliament regarding freeing up restrictions on abortion to allow any length of term to be aborted, what do people here think about this? Obviously abortion in itself has been discussed before, so let's keep this specific to the new discussion on no-limit abortion rights.
