I was Germany, historically I suck as Germany, so I was pleased with the result.
England: He was an unfortunate addition to this game, he really did not seem to know what he was doing (apparently his first game on WebDip). I really didn't understand his moves at all... he didn't attack France OR myself... what was the point in moving to the channel if you are going to do neither?
France: My Autumn 1907 moves entirely changed the game and suddenly made us allies. I agree I totally botched the end there with that Russian fleet. I really did not pick up on the fact you were going to stalemate the south until it was too late. In part the result of the previous turn was so unexpected I just wasted too much time completely changing strategy. That said, I continued playing shitty defense the following year or two, including in central europe where I should have just pulled back to the stalemate line immediately.
Russia/Turkey: I was hoping one of you would attack the other, but it never really looked like it would happen, which is fair, since it likely would have given me the opportunity to win, but may have also resulted in a smaller draw, especially if Turkey had stabbed Russia, since France could have pretty easily refocused his fleets and armies on protecting France/Iberia. Turkey, I definitely felt that before I jumped to a lead in SC's, you had a few easy pickups in the Balkans from Russia, and that was a point in the game that it looked like it would be a horse race between yourself and France.
Austria/Italy: Honestly I paid almost no attention to either of you throughout the game. Italy, you had some strange builds... too many fleets I believe, especially getting stuck with that fleet in Trieste that was useless at supporting any further moves towards the Balkans.
Agree with Roka, I had a lot of fun playing, and that was certainly my best result as Germany. I wish we'd had a more competent England, even if that had resulted in my demise.
