Grilled cheese > PB & J
Discuss.
King Atom (100 D)

The Following statements are false:

"Grilled cheese > PB & J"

That is all.

Jebus HATED grilled cheese KA. Again...you proclaim christ...but HATE what he loves. tsk tsk tsk....

Considering peanuts aren't native to the middle east, Christ's earthly body never tasted peanut butter.
krellin (80 DX)
19 Apr 12 UTC
Draug....I must disagree...Christ was tempted on ALL points...and therefore was tempted to dip a spoon into the peanut butte and lick it off, as we all are tempted. Oh trust me, Mr Draug, Jebus Kreyst knew Peanut Butter!!!
largeham (149 D)
19 Apr 12 UTC
Maybe peanuts were taken to the Middle East by swallows? A pair of African swallows could have probably taken quite a few.
Rascal (100 D)
19 Apr 12 UTC
That assumes that their talons would be capable of latching onto something so small as a peanut. The peanuts must have come in bags for the swallows to carry.
krellin (80 DX)
19 Apr 12 UTC
Good god....Jebus transformed grape juice into wine....you think the bastard couldn't transform camel shit into peanuts? Aftert all....MY shit is full of peanuts!!! It isn't much of a stretch here!!

JEBUS ATE ASS_PEANUTS Period! End of conversation!

Is krellin trying to tie religion to sandwiches?
KRELLIN....WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?
What about a grilled PB&Cheese? My friend use to make these all the time.

PB & J on toast > Grilled Cheese > generic PB & J
krellin (80 DX)
19 Apr 12 UTC
King Atom....YOU procliam Christ...and yet post this shit....WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? ***NOBODY** will come to Christ based upon YOUR posts. You are evil...THAT is the point of my posts. Oh...I might be evil, too...but *I* never proclaimed Christ, never embraced goodness like you do, you stupid, moronic hypocrite.
dubmdell (556 D)

Lando, a grilled PB&Cheese? That sounds terrible but amazing at the same time. It's like these PB hamburgers they sell around these parts. I'll have to try that combination you suggest.

Draugnar (0 DX)

What the hell is marmite?
jwalters93 (288 D)
19 Apr 12 UTC
^Marmite is spawn of the devil.

And this comparison is very much lacking in detail. Just looking at what is currently posted, 'Grilled Cheese > PB & J' one is forced to come to a singular conclusion: This is false. Now, if the comparison were 'Grilled Cheese (+Baked beans and Dr. Pepper) > PB & J (+Cortland apple, Colby Jack cheese, and Dr.Pepper)', it would be a much harder decision. The comparison is in what goes WITH the sandwich.

But there can be no doubt that a corned beef, swiss chesse, saurkraut, and russian dressing grilled on dark rye (a reuben) with latkes topped with applesauce and a tall Dr. Brown's Root Beer or Creme Soda (Diet in my case) is God's gift to food products.

fiedler (1293 D)

Octavious has nailed it - Marmite is the food of the gods.

@Draug = Marmite (fr. Pot) as I understand it, is rendered-down vegatable matter with a ship-load of salt mixed in. It looks like black butter, and indeed tastes like salty liquorice with a cool buttery texture. Ambrosia!
jwalters93 (288 D)
19 Apr 12 UTC
It's disgusting. Revoltingly so.
Draugnar (0 DX)
19 Apr 12 UTC
Some people substitute cole slaw for the kraut and others like pastrami (I've even heard of smoked turkey) for the corned Beef. But the reuben is the king of sandwhiches, only threated by braunschweiger and sharp cheddar on rye with sweet pickles, may, and a thick slice of vidalia onion or the other competitor, the club.

But he does have a close cousin who he is very fond of in the montecristo. In fact, I'd say the MC is probably the bastard child of the reuben and the club. It's got raspberry jam or preserves in homage to the russian dressing, but is made with turkey, ham bacon, and you choice of cheese (I like swiss or colby or both) like the club. Then the whole thing is dipped in batter and deep fried. Sprinkle it with powder sugar and serve it up with the aforementioned raspberry jam for dipping... Damn, I'm getting hungry.
Draugnar (0 DX)
19 Apr 12 UTC
@fiedler - Not according to their website. You described vegimite. Marmite is the left overs from brewing beer with the salt used to separate out the husks. Blech!
jwalters93 (288 D)
19 Apr 12 UTC
I can't really relate, as I'm not much of a sandwich guy. I've grown up eating my Mom's cooking. (Which is probably the thing I'll miss most when I leave for collage.)
Draugnar (0 DX)
19 Apr 12 UTC
What did you eat at school? School lunches? The invention of the microwave will go down in history as the greatest invention ever for the mere fact that you can take almost *any* food you cook at home and take it to work or school and reheat it for lunch.
fiedler (1293 D)
19 Apr 12 UTC
Oh, well I actually do prefer vegemite, but the two are pretty much interchangeable. Made of beer you say - no wonder it is delicious! +++++++++
Draugnar (0 DX)

My piss is made of beer on occasion, but I don't want to drink it.
jwalters93 (288 D)
19 Apr 12 UTC
Draug, I'm home schooled. So I *still* eat Mom's cooking for lunch. ^_^ Though, graduation is this spring. :D
Draugnar (0 DX)
19 Apr 12 UTC
Ah! I would say "you lucky bastard" but I think homeschooling can do a great disservice to the child. The interation between the child and his student peers is lost and social acclamation is stunted causing potential problems later in college and the workforce.

But you seem well balanced enough so it probably didn't hurt you too severely.
jwalters93 (288 D)
19 Apr 12 UTC
Nah, I have more fun with my friends that a lot of people. The stunted social development comes from over-protective parents. Which, thankfully, mine aren't. And I've held a steady job since I was 14.
jwalters93 (288 D)
19 Apr 12 UTC
The reason I'm lucky isn't because I'm homeschooled. It's because my family hasn't owned a TV for over 20 years.
Draugnar (0 DX)
19 Apr 12 UTC
@jwalter - How have you done the steady job sincde 14? A family business? Cause labor laws prevent under 16 from working outside of family businesses and farms, or at least they did in Ohio when I was growing up. YMMV where you are at.

And I'm not talking about just socializing when it comes to social development. I'm talking about organized activities like sports and band. I'm talking about projects for school requiring teamwork and study sessions.
Draugnar (0 DX)
19 Apr 12 UTC
And before anyone mentions child performers... He said a steady job. Child performers who finally hit it big with a full time long-term show/concert tour have to get work permits and are usually managed by their parents anyhow, thereby qualifying under the "family business."
jwalters93 (288 D)
19 Apr 12 UTC
In Indiana, you can work at 14 if you have parental permission, and you don't work more than like 20 hours a week. There are a few more restrictions, but they're not huge.
jwalters93 (288 D)
19 Apr 12 UTC
Also, I was in a program called Civil Air Patrol from 12 to about a month ago. (I'm now 19) I did orchestra and band at my church, and I was in a youtg orchestra in Indy for a few years.
Draugnar (0 DX)
19 Apr 12 UTC
That's good to hear. So all you really missed out on were study session dynamics and you'll get plenty of those with college cram sessions. :-)

The only thing I've ever learned from any project requiring teamwork is that almost everyone is incompetent.

@jwalters

If you don't mind me asking, what were the motivations behind being homeschooled?

Also, what do your parents do? I know plenty of adults (including teachers) who are hopeless at teaching math and science. Presumably, yours can?

Marxism
Marxism is fundamentally a theory of history which should entail a commitment to social change; that is, a commitment to a socialist future in which the forces of production are not owned privately as they are in capitalist societies but under common ownership.
