Dear Fellow Webdiplomacy players:
I fell like I've been on this site long enough - and I know some of you long time players well enough - to try my hand at organizing a good Invitational game. The game will be postal in nature: with full press and a long phase (I imagine 3 to 5 days, to give plenty of opportunities for well thought out strategy and fervent diplomacy.) It will be Anonymous, as most good games are, to prevent previous experiences from factoring into diplomatic decisions (as much as possible, anyway). And of course, winner-takes-all, to keep the end game clean.
I call this a Major Step Invitational because I'm going to firmly set the buy in at a hard 143 dip points (please don't ask me to change it). I'm doing this so that there will be 1001

at stake in the game. My target players are those who have never cracked 1000 dip points (or have barely cracked it) and are looking for a chance to make that leap. But of course, anyone who has the points and would be interested in a long phase game is welcome; I won't discriminate against players with thousands of points who are interested in this game.
Please PM me, or post on this thread, if you're interested and you're willing to commit to play a full game given the long phase involved. (I should say that I hope the players in this game will be generous regarding reasonable pauses, replacing players for good cause, and finalizing moves).
Once I have 7 players interested, I'll set up the game. We can always set up more than one if there's enough interest.
